to ask you - if you're a size 12 or 14 and 5ft9 or 5ft10, what do you weigh?

Preferably in KG but if you only know your weight in stones and lbs that would still be helpful. I'm on a weight loss journey and I am confused about jean sizes! Thank you :)

These baffle me. I am 5'4, 11st and size 14. I am very muscly but have fat on top. I'd expect someone 7 inches taller and same dress size to be a lot heavier than me. You must look slender and willowy at that weight and height.

I'm 5'9 and a size 16 and I weigh 15 stone something.

I am 81kg 5'8" and currently fitting into most size 12s. At 74kg I will be into 10s.

I'm 5ft 9" weighing 12st 2lbs & I am a small 14 or a generous 12 depending on sizing.
I was 14st 3lbs & I was a VERY snug 14 (really a 16 but I didn't want to buy née stuff )
I'm aiming for 11st 3lbs which would see me at a small 12 or a 10 again depending on shop / cut / fit & fabric

Such weird variations between people! I'm 5ft 9 and 68kgs and definitely a size 12 - can't fit into a 10. I'm quite fit/muscular too, so you think I'd be smaller. I guess it depends where you carry most of your weight - I've got a large arse and thighs but skinny shoulders and chest. So maybe that's why...

I'm 5'9", 69kg (10st11) and a size 12, sometimes a 14 in jeans. Very pear shaped!

5'10" here- when I'm 14 stone I'm a size 14. I'm currently about 16 stone and a size 16 (conveniently the stones and sizes line up for me!)

Everyone carries weight differently though- this thread alone shows what a nonsense BMI is!

I'm 5ft 8 and 11 stone 11. I wear size 12 mostly but 14 bottoms in some brands - I've got a small top half.

Weight isn't really a factor in itself, OP! It's about where you carry the weight.

Two people, as demonstrated by this thread, can be the same height and weigh similar but be two dress sizes different because of where they carry the weight.

Just as an example, I weigh 14KG (so over 2 stone) more than a PP, I'm three inches shorter but I'm the same dress size.

I’m 5’10” and weigh 10 stone 12. I’m either a 12 or a 14 depending on the store and the fit. How the garment looks on me and how it fits is more important than the sometimes arbitrary number.

5ft 9 the lowest weight I've been was 11stone and I was a size 12 (20 years ago) I looked slim.
Now 14 stone and a size 16!

Just shows how weight is a stupid thing to care about. Size 14, 5'9 and just in this thread there are women at 66kg-86 but same heightand clothes size! I am 72kg.
