Could you not just google it...?

pointythings · 05/05/2024 16:56

There's this amazing thing called 'Google' which lets you look it up. Do try it.

If you mean there's no manifesto - that's because no election has been called yet.

The government have form for nicking Labour's good ideas, so until a date for a GE is set, they're keeping it quiet - but their website will give you some good ideas of the direction of travel.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 05/05/2024 16:58

Amazing 10 seconds on Google and I found this

labour.org.uk

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 05/05/2024 17:02

I think they are being a bit coy about some of their policies until the general election, as the Tories steal them, despite the fact their philosophy is totally different. Anything for a vote, apparently!

Sunshineandpinkclouds · 05/05/2024 17:15

Ignore the sarcastic comments.

There is no manifesto so we don't know details of their policies yet only a rough guide. When the GE is called then all parties will issue their detailed manifesto.

SerendipityJane · 05/05/2024 17:16

It's hard to believe there are people quite as dim as to post a question like that, however Dame Nadine Dorries hasn't been seen for a while.

Tempting to post a load of made up bollocks for ToryHQ to steal as their own. Then I realised no one could tell.

It does amaze me that people seem increasingly happy to display their ignorance for all to see, when we all have available to us at the click of a few buttons more information than we could every consider in a lifetime.

Churchview · 05/05/2024 17:33

Surely it's a dog whistle for other posters to come on and witter away about Labour having no plans. In fact, Rishi Sunak scraped the barrel and came up with that in the media yesterday. Perhaps OP is Rishi.

BIWI · 05/05/2024 17:35

How surprising that this is the one and only post in this username?

Tory shills starting already?

I found this, amazing tool this interweb thing.

https://labour.org.uk/updates/stories/10-labour-policies-to-change-britain/

Or does the OP mean that their newspaper of choice has not shared with them any of Labour's many policies?

god they haven’t even proof read it - there are still typos!!
Christ alive. We’re in for a bad time.

Phial · 05/05/2024 17:35

I think that's it from Labour. VAT on private schools and the rest of the time they'll just be sitting around doing nothing.

That will certainly be better than a lot of the awful policies the current government are implementing.

We should be gentle to them, the have had a nasty shock.

IvorTheEngineDriver · 05/05/2024 17:37

So? The election's not been called yet and frankly I know of very, very few people who vote on the basis of what a party's manifesto says.

Can you point out a typo? I've read it and can't find any.

Churchview · 05/05/2024 17:38

Marj heard the whistle.

Read the education one again.
Interesting approach to the concept of « tax break » too. It seems anything that isn’t taxed is benefitting from a tax break. Presumably the default position is everything should be taxed unless little Keir generously decides it shouldn’t be. God.

TooBigForMyBoots · 05/05/2024 17:47

That depends @changewashing. Do you care what Labour's policies are? Do you live in a ward or constituency that stands Labour candidates? If the answer to these questions is "yes" then YABU.

The conspiracist mindset is strong on the left these days. Anyone criticising the great man must be a shill, or acting in some kind of coordinated way. The possibility that people may independently and quite genuinely think he’s a bit shit cannot be allowed to exist.

little Keir

Oh dear. We are going to have months of this now.

BIWI · 05/05/2024 17:49

To be clear, I was criticising the OP, not the 'great man', or 'little Keir' as you so patronisingly call him Hmm

I think you quoted the wrong poster.

We mustn’t sneer at little Keir!
Mumsnet thinks it’s naughty.

Oh dear. We are going to have months of this now.

The local election results do give a clear indication of what the General Election outcome will be so, I intend to enjoy the distress that is so evident in our right wing friends. If it lasts for months, well they only have Sunak to blame.
