I agree OP, if only because it makes anybody trying to make a genuine political point look really fucking thick if they can't even get the person they're supposedly all worked up abouts' name right.

Maybe it’s because I’m Scottish it’s more annoying and it’s a fairly usual spelling here - Keir, Keith etc…so it grates more on me maybe 🤔

A lot of English folk struggle to spell Scottish names that they are unfamiliar with.

Yes, always exceptions. Not unusual for people to spell tricky words wrong, particularly if they are uncommon.
