Cat walked through paint all over brand new drive!

Dh was painting garden furniture on our front lawn. When he came in for lunch he did not account for our cat jumping on table (never does this). We are now left with a trail of painted paw prints on our 2 month drive!

What can we do?? White spirit did NOTHING.

Leave them as a permanent reminder of your arsehole cat 😂

ChedderGorgeous · 21/04/2024 20:04

Piss paw planning to be fair

stripes92 · 21/04/2024 20:05

Leave them. In 6 months you'll find it funny rather than annoying!

Cramberry · 21/04/2024 20:08

Drive looks like this.

If the cat managed to get the entire paw maybe I would leave. But for some reason they mark are just random oblongs.

Mostly I'd leave them for the weather to work at them but if you want to do something, I'd maybe try an abrasive, like wire wool.

maudelovesharold · 21/04/2024 20:10

I’d be more worried about the cat licking its paws to try and get the paint off, tbh!

fairymary87 · 21/04/2024 20:10

We need pictures of the paws 🐾

Dareisayiseethesunshine · 21/04/2024 20:12

I got garden paint off block paving with fairy and a nail brush...

Elieza · 21/04/2024 20:12

My first thought was poor cat I hope he doesn't lick the paint off and that it wiped off when he jumped onto the grass.

YeahComeOnThen · 21/04/2024 20:14

Is your cat ok??

it'll wear off, I really wouldn't worry about it

Scampuss · 21/04/2024 20:17

You've used white spirit on your cat?

Crapuscular · 21/04/2024 20:45

Photo or it didn't happen!

Ilovetolurk · 21/04/2024 20:48

If it makes you feel any better OP this was my reskimmed window ledge improved by the cat.

So unique, no one will have a window ledge like that. Or your drive OP.

shoppingshamed · 21/04/2024 20:53

Sorry, I thought that was the ops photo

MrsMoastyToasty · 21/04/2024 20:55

One of cats walked in engine oil (goodness knows where); walked through the entire house and jumped onto our bed for a snooze. The bedding was only fit for the dustbin.

LostittoBostik · 21/04/2024 21:01

Ha ha! We're going to need a picture

Treaclewell · 21/04/2024 21:02

You do realise that this is historically mandatory for either a dog or cat to "improve" human work in this way. Any museum at a Roman villa or similar will have tiles on display which have been marked when wet in this way. It's imperative.

Yes that was my first thought too. I would be very worried if my cat had paint on his paws.

Cramberry · 21/04/2024 21:13

We found him whilst his paws were still wipeable. Managed to get off with warm soapy water. Fur between paws is sage though.

I'd be more concerned about my cat's paws and if he needed them cleaning so he doesn't come to any harm from the paint

Would love a pic OP! Is sage a good look on him?

I don't quite understand what I'm looking at in this photo.

JustJoinedRightNow · 21/04/2024 21:21

That rack of paving looks superimposed on there - do you mean that's what your new drive is made from? I'm confused

I think the OP has a cat with oblong shaped paws that are now sage coloured.
