I'm a. Mum of boys so that particular sentence isn't relevant to me.

But other than that I think it's a lovely poem. Really moving.

Nowt pervy about it, it’s a pair of knickers with blood in, not like they’re showing a four year old in a thong. Just something that happens for thousands of young kids each week and is presumably quite a significant moment for a parent as their child is getting older

It's a poem about many of the things parents struggle with and worry about. I don't see what is inappropriate about it.
