AIBU?

To think that when all animal prototypes were assessed the only logical conclusion for a quadraped was a goat

Goats are basically the result of a successful design spec for an animal with 4 legs.

Not BU agree goats are the GOAT design
BU you think a goat can't even run in a straight line

Touch grass

Maaaaa

BasiliskStare · 25/01/2024 00:57

If an animal can run up the side of a mountain on a tiny ledge - I would vote for it. And they can

Babla · 25/01/2024 00:59

Could you repeat the question

BasiliskStare · 25/01/2024 01:08

@Babla Ha ha ha

I once read that if you are thinking of having two children , take two baby goats into a supermarket, It will be good good practise.

SnakesAndArrows · 25/01/2024 01:16

Obviously goats are the GOAT. Why do you even need to ask?

ClareBlue · 25/01/2024 01:21

Goats do hands off parenting. Kids get fed and protected from predators and shown not what to eat. Everything else is a bit of 'that's a life lesson'. I saw a mummy goat watch her son go into the stream and nearly drown. When he got out soaked she gave a little 'well done' bleat but moved on.

What is this thread about

ClareBlue · 25/01/2024 01:24

The way most goats are brought up would definitely result in interventions later in life.

What is this thread about

GOATS, obv 😂 A goat once ate my handbag. My fault, I was half-cut on strong cider and trying to make friends with the hairy buggers.

What is this thread about

The premise is that goats are the best designed 4 legged animals ever.
Is that reasonable or not. You have to make that call in your vote.

There's a goat somewhere telling his kid that he once made friends with someone and they let him eat their handbag😀

YABU. I know goats can run straight but they aren't nice to stroke. The GOAT must be silky softly strokable as well as nimble and self-possessed.

ClareBlue · 25/01/2024 01:34

And don't think the goat wouldn't have joined you in the strong cider if offered.
Fermented apples are not far from that and ours love them.

nothing worse than an unsilky goat imo

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/01/2024 01:37

They also make cashmere. And are delicious. And make milk. Brilliant animals.

I think they are OK to stroke. What 4 legged comparison are you making. We have to exclude lamas, obviously, as we all fall asleep stroking them😀

Llamas are dreadful though. Worst animal by a country mile.

Alpacas, on the other hand…

ClareBlue · 25/01/2024 01:51

But navigating the bite and the viciously side kicking are surely worth getting near enough to be spat on 😂

I humbly submit the cat your honour.

I want to be more interesting and suggest the capybara or the camel, but in all honesty, big or small, cats are GOATs.

Onacuctustree · 25/01/2024 01:54

We had a goat next door. Polly.
Wisest animal.
They kept her chained up. She still managed to eat all the tasty plants in our garden.
Scare the dog and the cats.
She was a GOAT.

Alpaca PR intervention on the thread.
Please note. Alpacas are not Limas. They are different. Please make reference to www.Limas are not as good natured as Alpacas. Com for more information
