AIBU?

To think that when all animal prototypes were assessed the only logical conclusion for a quadraped was a goat

Goats are basically the result of a successful design spec for an animal with 4 legs.

Not BU agree goats are the GOAT design
BU you think a goat can't even run in a straight line

Another vote for cats. All of the cat family can jump, climb and run much better than a goat.

Aardvarks are pretty goatly, to be fair.

In that they have a self confidence beyond which they deserve, OK. But on looks and general contribution to the world, not so sure.
Though their technical ability to feed is quite impressive.

I wish to third that cats are in fact the greatest GOAT

The cat and goat debate isn't new. As a goat advocate I have to be slightly impressed by the cat agility, if it can be bothered, but it's about attitude and fearless challenges that trumps the cat.

Who taught the feline to type? TBF all the time they spend laying on keyboards, they would eventually give it a try.

I wouldn’t mind being chased across a field by a cat.

A goat did that to me once when I was small. Pub garden, with a swing.

Slanty eyed little bastard.

I love it when they do that mad, leg-flinging leap like the tawny goat in the centre of your GIF! It seems very wasteful, energy-wise but they're always at it, I suppose because it's fun 😁

2 young goats were stolen in Dorset recently. Fortunately recovered very quickly by the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team.
I'm assuming the offender wasn't a mumsnetter, but a goat lover in another form. The bastard!

“Better drowned than duffers. If not duffers won’t drown.”

The Walker children’s father in Swallows & Amazons was clearly following the goat method of parenting.

@Babla Ha ha ha

I once read that if you are thinking of having two children , take two baby goats into a supermarket, It will be good good practise.

Or trying to get an octopus into a string bag to simulate getting a toddler dressed.
