LightheartedMy friend and I disagree on how you pronounce the word advertisement. One of us says “add-vert-iSS-ment” and the other says “add-ver-tiZe-ment”. We’re both English if this is relevant 😊

AD vertizement = US pronunciation
Ad VERT issment = Southern English accent

The first is English pronunciation
The second one looks Americanised

Interesting that he pronounces every word except advertisement with a French accent!

Youtube isn't always correct for these things, but this seems to be. I think the problem is that many of are influenced by American TV.

Many Americans say advert-eyes-ment. Many British people say ad-vertis-mnt. 🤷🏻‍♀️
