Funny fetish - How weird out of 100?

Not sure what this post is. I suppose I just want to mention it to someone to understand how massively weird it is!

I have a FWB. It’s been going on for a year or so, and it’s working out great. We’re both divorced with DCs, met through work, and manage to get together every few weeks for what I consider brilliant fun. I have lots of friends, a busy life with work and the kids, but this relationship completely fills my missing needs. I’m lucky.

After a few meetings I asked if he had anything he wanted to try. I’m not massively experienced. He is my 5th partner ever and my first since the end of a 17 year faithful relationship that became my marriage.

He said that he… had a bit of an armpit fetish!

He could’ve said he wanted hardcore S&M, or me to wee on him or whatever. So I know it could be worse. I was surprised but said ‘OK’ and let him do what he wanted to do which was basically lick them! He really got into it, I wasn’t bothered either way. Gave me no great pleasure but was fine I suppose. Nice to see him enjoy himself.

I’ve since asked him more about this. Apparently the attraction is hard to describe but might be because it’s a ‘hidden’ bit of me that’s normally covered (by my arm, I guess, unless I raise it). It’s not to do with hair or smell (thank God - cos I’m not stopping shaving or washing!).

Since that first time he’s spent a couple of frantic minutes licking my armpits every time. He knows I always shower before we meet and he’s asked that I don’t put deodorant on so that he doesn’t taste it. I’m fine with this cos I’m fresh out of the shower and just put it on afterwards.

OP I don't think it's too odd and it wouldn't bother me to indulge it a bit but not too much or I would get bored! Lots of men like weird things and I think it's about novelty. Even if it seems totally odd to others.

It's also harmless if you don't mind him doing it.

I will caution you to keep an eye on it though. Some men (when allowed free reign with a fetish) will in turn fetishise you as a human.

You become less about a person they share intimacy and mutual pleasure with and more a receptacle for them to enjoy this secret thing.

Sorry OP - no helpful advice apart from his reasoning seems perfectly logical. He's clearly very into you and able to relax. I suppose that if he's gentle, not harming you and you're comfortable with this, then all good.

I don't think it's that weird. No more weird than being into feet and that's quite common apparently. I wouldn't have a problem going along with something like that if it made my partner happy (haha my phone wrote "parents" - not sure I would do it to please them! 🤣) but it wouldn't do much for me either.

I've never told anyone this before but: once when DH was working away and we only saw each other at weekends, he asked if he could smell (not lick) my armpits when we were in bed. They wouldn't have been especially smelly at the time. He sniffed them and then said lovingly, "They smell like my little wife." (If you think that sounds twee, he is very tall, almost a foot taller than me.) I'd be surprised if he ever wanted to lick them, but not horrified. I think it would be worse if I'd recently put deodorant on as I bet that tastes awful!
