Funny fetish - How weird out of 100?

Not sure what this post is. I suppose I just want to mention it to someone to understand how massively weird it is!

I have a FWB. It’s been going on for a year or so, and it’s working out great. We’re both divorced with DCs, met through work, and manage to get together every few weeks for what I consider brilliant fun. I have lots of friends, a busy life with work and the kids, but this relationship completely fills my missing needs. I’m lucky.

After a few meetings I asked if he had anything he wanted to try. I’m not massively experienced. He is my 5th partner ever and my first since the end of a 17 year faithful relationship that became my marriage.

He said that he… had a bit of an armpit fetish!

He could’ve said he wanted hardcore S&M, or me to wee on him or whatever. So I know it could be worse. I was surprised but said ‘OK’ and let him do what he wanted to do which was basically lick them! He really got into it, I wasn’t bothered either way. Gave me no great pleasure but was fine I suppose. Nice to see him enjoy himself.

I’ve since asked him more about this. Apparently the attraction is hard to describe but might be because it’s a ‘hidden’ bit of me that’s normally covered (by my arm, I guess, unless I raise it). It’s not to do with hair or smell (thank God - cos I’m not stopping shaving or washing!).

Since that first time he’s spent a couple of frantic minutes licking my armpits every time. He knows I always shower before we meet and he’s asked that I don’t put deodorant on so that he doesn’t taste it. I’m fine with this cos I’m fresh out of the shower and just put it on afterwards.

How weird is all this? My friends don’t know of this man’s existence let alone this fetish. Is he the only man in England with it, or has anyone else encountered it?

Not for me but as far as fetishes go, probably one of the milder ones I could tolerate occasionally.

It’s not sniffing, it’s licking! I’d find sniffing very weird (I’d be very self-conscious. Ugh).

It doesn’t tickle, but maybe that’s because of his amazing technique. Ha! He really goes for it rather than being gentle, which I imagine would tickle. It’s like being licked by a dog! That sounds awful but it’s the closest comparison I can think of.

Suffice to say I’m pleased he’s not like that during other activities 🫢

When we sweat during sex we produce pheromones. I don't suppose sniffing an armpit from that point of view is that whacky. I quite like the scent of a clean but sweaty man I'm into, though it wouldn't occur to me to fetishise his armpit I can vaguely understand the appeal.

Ha! Good question. Nothing! Nothing conscious anyway. Maybe my other hand on his back. I don’t know! Nothing if both my arms are over my head. It’s just nice to see him enjoy himself. Maybe if I get bored one time I can get my phone out, ha!

And yes, feet would be much weirder. I’ve never had that particular request but I’m not tapping my watch waiting for it!

Really? I’m more of a Rest Is History girl, sorry. Tom Holland can do an episode about Roman armpit fetishes. I bet they were all over it.

Definitely weirder! If he was just wanting to sniff me I’d wonder what he wanted to sniff, and I’d be totally paranoid.

Maybe licking is just the cover story 😳

It sounds pretty harmless as fetishes go... I'd just ensure that you do other stuff in bed too and that his armpit fetish doesn't take over and become most important.

I'd say as fetishes go, it's harmless (or armless??) enough. The issue would be if it takes over everything else and over rides your own enjoyment though. I would worry my pits are too stubbly though!
