Same here! Bizarre! Is there not enough going on on Christmas Day? (It's also a bit wet and miserable where I am so I don't really get why you'd want to be outside rather than snuggled on the sofa at this point!)

Had them at 11:15pm last night. Parents everywhere trying to tiptoe round their house to deposit stockings and some tosspot decides to set off fireworks for 15 mins. Could have wrung their neck.

None here so far but there's a gale blowing and it's pouring with rain so hopefully that will knock any thought of fireworks on the head.

Dreading New Year's eve. Same thing every year, dog is in a deep night time sleep and suddenly around midnight all hell breaks loose because somebody thinks it's their right to start setting fire to explosives.

Same here, right in the middle of out evening meal the poor dog is now terrified. It feels like it's become any excuse around here - we had them for halloween, I wondered if people just had some leftover from November 5th where the weather was appalling all week but at this point I think it has just become a regular thing.
