To want to know the childhood toy/game you'd still love to have now?

Mine would be the flat bed of the Fisher price campervan. He was my best friend growing up, I pulled that truck everywhere (he also had a name)
I can't justify buying one from eBay, but if I see one at a charity shop it's coming home with me and I'm in my fifties.
If I could gift you one of your childhood toys now what would it be?

Screwball Scramble. I am struggling to describe it, but if you took it to school on the last day of term, you were super popular.

Saffrom · 09/11/2023 21:44

I want my My Little Pony castle back please. It had a little winch where you could lift up and down Spike the dragon and another winch for the drawbridge.

Parents got rid when my back was turned obvs 😭

Also if you could give it to me in the super box it came in that would be great.

My massive dolls house which I threw a tantrum in a very posh German toy shop to get. In my defence I had just spent a week in a military hospital mostly on my own as a 5 year old because mothers visiting and getting in the way was frowned upon. It was huge, 3 floors, working lights, avocado tiles in the bathroom and fabulous orange wallpaper in the sitting room. It even had a little garden.

My lovely sister in law bought me a copy of my favourite childhood game of ebay after I'd mentioned in conversation that it hadn't survived multiple house moves around Europe. Think I'd swap it for my dolls house though.

I had a circus with animals, and wagons that linked together to form a train, with a locomotive at the front. This would have been mid 70s. It was very sturdy, made of a sort of rubbery plastic iyswim? It might have been Fisher Price, I'm not sure. I loved that circus train! Also my Weebles. Plus my Playmobil sets, although I think they were called PlayPeople then. I had the hospital and a roadworks one. Although they might have been my older brother's originally, passed on to me.

simba30 · 09/11/2023 21:55

I know I should remember what this is but I can't!

Namehnge54678 · 09/11/2023 21:56

My blue dolly.

It was a weird looking thing made out of blue material. But I loved it.

Over the last 35 years my sister and i have argued who it belongs to.
Sister claims its hers, has taken it and hidden it in her house.
It's not hers, its mine.

Sister- if you're reading this, you know who you are. Give me my blue dolly back

simba30 · 09/11/2023 21:56

Sorry I meant to say that about dream phone.

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 09/11/2023 21:56

I was obsessed with tamagotchis as a child. I had about 5 of them at once and actually kept them all alive, which was hard work for an 8 year old. They still make them now. I secretly want one but I wouldn’t have the time to play with it properly now that I have actual responsibilities.

ShakerMakers! (Child of the 70s 😉) And fuzzy felt that actually stuck down (rather than the abomination of the modern version my DS had 😥)

MrsDrudge · 09/11/2023 22:00

Cowboy outfit and cap gun.
or the Native American style headdress my dad made for me out of chicken feathers.

My Snugglebums, Keypers and a Lego Duplo Bell

Farmersweeklyreader · 09/11/2023 22:03

I would like my farm set. Farmyard complete with farmhouse, various barns, a stable and a milking parlour. Also my Brittans Land Rover & horse box, tractor & baler. All my farm animals. It was quite a collection. All neatly packed away in the original boxes after playing with it.
I sold all of this on EBay to fund furniture for my 1st house in my early twenties 😕
What a mistake to part with it, I’m now married to a farmer, and would have loved to pass this on to my child.
I keep looking on EBay but have never seen the same one yet 😞
