Don't often do trick or treat as dc are small but we're going to a birthday party until 7 so will be home around 7:30 tomorrow night, is that a good time to go trick or treat or is it all over by then?

Usually all finished here by 6.30
DS goes up at 6.30 to get ready for bed so we’d not answer the door after that. We blow out the pumpkin light but leave any leftover sweets out in a tub.

I wouldn't mind so much at 7.30 but if you're only starting then I do think it's a bit late. Maybe just take them to a handful of doors. 5.30-7 seems to be the busy period here.

Oh interesting it seems to start earlier in some places. I wonder is that because it's dark then? It's not proper dark until maybe 5.30 here. I'm in central Scotland.

Please only visit houses which are decorated and look like they are willing participants! There are lots of people who do not want to take part and shouldn't be made to provide sweets/chocolates on demand.
