If you had the covid booster, did you have any side effects?

Had mine yesterday. Feel a bit off today, tired and heavy and slightly achey as if I could be coming down with something. Hoping it will pass off quickly and not get worse!

How are people generally finding the booster affects them this year?

Slightly achey arm for a couple of days.

Coastalcreeksider · 20/10/2023 15:12

Just slightly aching arm that ached the next day then was fine.

ILikeStrictly · 20/10/2023 15:13

Nothing at all, other than a slight headache which I might have had anyway. DH had a slightly sore arm and felt a bit under the weather but only for a day or two.

ErrolTheDragon · 20/10/2023 15:16

DH had the covid booster and flu jab at the same time, so had two sore arms and a bit achy for a day or so.

DisquietintheRanks · 20/10/2023 15:18

Nothing except a slightly stiff arm. Had the flu vaccine at the same time and didn't even get a stiff arm w that.

FuzzyPuffling · 20/10/2023 15:21

Yes. Sore arm, high temperature, rigors, nausea, all over pain, especially in my joints and a shocking headache. Lasted 2 days.

But I do have an underlying health condition.

KohlaParasaurus · 20/10/2023 15:26

This time, just a little tenderness at the injection site for a couple of days.

theDudesmummy · 20/10/2023 15:27

None whatsoever.

Tinkerbyebye · 20/10/2023 15:27

Tenderness at the site but nothing else

MatildaTheCat · 20/10/2023 15:28

Tiny bruise but nothing else. Had flu at the same time. I’ve never had any reaction at all.

Ponderingwindow · 20/10/2023 15:28

I haven’t had mine yet, DH had his and he was a bit run down and his arm hurt, but not awful. He was glad he got it on a Friday afternoon before a Saturday he could be lazy. It wasn’t like the first few where he couldn’t do anything but sleep.

CaroleSinger · 20/10/2023 15:29

Had COVID and flu jab 48hrs apart. No effects whatsoever from COVID but the flu jab really ached for a couple of days. In fact I said at the time the flu jab was worse.

muddyford · 20/10/2023 15:29

Not even a tender arm.

AttentionToDetal · 20/10/2023 15:35

I had a sore arm for several days after (like quite noticeably stiff and aching) but that was all

All 3 of us in our family who had it experienced exactly what you describe, OP. In each case it only lasted 24 hours so hopefully it will be the same for you.

TheyreEatingThemInNelsonAndTheBluff · 20/10/2023 15:52

I had a horrendous headache for a few hours.

rocknrollaa · 20/10/2023 15:57

None at all.

Theoldcuriosityshop · 20/10/2023 16:18

Had both flu and Covid at the same time. Slightly stiff arm, that's all though.

audihere · 20/10/2023 16:24

had covid, flu and pneumonia jab on the same day, expected to feel awful but just had sore arms

Unusualactualname · 20/10/2023 16:25

Another with just a sore arm.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/10/2023 16:26

Sore arm but that was it.

FuzzyPuffling · 20/10/2023 16:38

Just me in the shit then!

DaftQuestionForToday · 20/10/2023 16:43

Had flu injection in one arm, covid in the other.

flu fine.

covid -arm hurt, held off from taking painkillers as I read it reduced the effect. Felt like I'd get a massive bruise, but nothing!

been fatigued all week. Slept almost all day one day (and can only do that when I'm not well) but I'm not in great health so hard to say how crap I've felt this week was just from usual shit & how much CI.

it wouldn't stop me having it.

Mercurial123 · 20/10/2023 16:56

My arm hurt. It was fine 48 hours later.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 20/10/2023 17:52

Arm sore for a day or two, but only in bed. Then fine.
