Best scary films? What should we watch?

I really enjoyed The Witch, for example, are there any other films with a similar vibe? I found it very atmospheric and unsettling.

Also open to lots of other types! What scary films do you recommend?

I just watched the exorcist for the first time since I was a teenager and I'm not going to sleep now for a month! 😫

Cold Skin.

It's actually showing on Horror Extra (Freeview channel 69) in about 25 minutes from now.

Fantasy horror with Ray Stevenson. In 1914, a meteorologist arrives on a remote island where the only other inhabitant is a lighthouse keeper - but he soon discovers they're not alone. (2017)

Edited to add details.

Glad to see some more shout outs for Exorcist 3. I first watched it aged 15 and couldn’t sleep properly for about a year.

Rewatched it a couple of years ago thinking I was probably just too young / impressionistic and expecting it to be meh, but no - it is properly scary.

One of the few films I'd never watch again. And I don't scare easily 😳

@DeadButDelicious which jump scare in Exorcist 3? Most of that film scared the 💩 out of me. No photos please. I still have nightmares about that film 😳
I read the book a few months ago and I could visualise certain scenes 😫

We love Scream in this house (Scream 5 is my daughter's favourite).

With the nurse in the hospital.

It really stays with you doesn't it?

@DeadButDelicious
I knew you'd say that 😳
Jeeez 😳

Ah, glad this is still going.
I forgot to mention earlier "La Cabina"
A very horrible (but quite short) Spanish film from the early 70s. Little or no dialogue. Watch it if you can.
I saw it as a child - thanks, Mum Hmm
