If he is down by half a billion quid, plus what he owes E Jean Carroll, plus what he owes his lawyers, then he will have less to splurge on his campaign. And also he will have less to spend on his defence in the other cases that are running against him, the federal ones as opposed to the state or civil ones. If he loses even one of those federal cases, he loses about half the independent voters just like that, and probably about a fifth of the Republican vote as well, on top of the ones who supported Haley whom he told he didn't want or need: some of those may still take him at his word.

BREAKING on @MSNBC:

Judge Juan Merchan has denied Donald Trump's request to block Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, and Karen McDougal from testifying in his upcoming criminal hush money case. All will be able to testify, with some minor restrictions imposed.

This gets better, doesn't it.

Ugh! On and on and on it goes.

Alzheimer's is not something I would wish on anybody. Something Trump actually fears more than going to jail or losing his 'billions' I would think.

I wish the media would stop asserting that Hur claimed Biden was "an elderly man with a poor memory". What he said was that if Biden were brought to trial for secreting classified documents, for which Hur had already said there was insufficient evidence to warrant prosecution, he would be able to present himself in the witness-box as an elderly man with a poor memory.. This is not the same thing as saying that's what he is.

Well, I'm back in the real world. Disney World was great and totally kept me OUT of reality.

I'm still catching up on all the goings on in TrumpWorld (a MUCH more out of touch with reality world than Disney World) and I admit much hilarity and quite a bit of head scratching is going on!!!

I see that Trump's lawyers are still arguing that he had total immunity as president, over his election interference; that presidents have total immunity whilst in office.

Presumably, if he wins, Biden could have him done away with, if he desired.

Einstein's remark on insanity is beginning to seem apropos to their regurgitating arguments already thrown out in other trials. But when you have nothing solid to use, you use what you can find floating 'out there'.

Seems to me that as the current lawfully elected POTUS, Biden could have Trump done away with now, at least based on Trump's assertions.

"DonPoorleone"

I'd say I spat my tea on my keyboard but it's such a MN cliché. So I'll just say I guffawed heartily and shared with the family.

So presumably he'll be announcing the winners, then presenting himself with the awards that he "paid for". 🙄 (I bet he won all the games at his birthday parties too.)

More than that. $468,133,498.11 and counting. But what's four million dollars between friends? (The bond needs to be 110% of the debt, and that's the debt including interest, as of five minutes ago or so.)

In which case he risks the Next Donald Trump riding in on a wave of "look at that whiny loser. Don't you hate whiny losers".

Never a good idea to arm your enemy. You'd have thought Americans of all people would know that after Iraq and Afghanistan.

10 more days to find the money, bond amount reduced to $175mil. Also can run businesses in NY for those 10 days. Sort of a Sword of Damocles, no?

Per Leticia James:

“Donald Trump is still facing accountability for his staggering fraud. The court has already found that he engaged in years of fraud to falsely inflate his net worth and unjustly enrich himself, his family, and his organization. The $464 million judgment – plus interest – against Donald Trump and the other defendants still stands.”
