Some fool paid $9000 for a signed pair

Trump would have to be assassinated on camera by Putin at a Taylor Swift concert in the Vatican to make them hold their value.

Surely they have fridges in the states ?

Don't be daft, I've never heard of such a thing!

Eyesopenwideawake · 18/02/2024 16:44

Surely MN should change the title of this thread to "Trump gets shafted and booted"???

😂

AcrossthePond55 · 18/02/2024 23:42

The internet is a funny place, where merely thinking out loud can sometimes result in reality - like the idea that Alina Habba is a deep Democrat plant. It's almost like magic.

I wonder when - or if - any of the MAGA geniuses will twig that the "Donald Trump" that has been fined is really a Democrat plant designed to suck money from them and deny the REAL DONALD TRUMP victory when he emerges to denounce the imposter ?

Former prosecutors wonder if Trump might have Putin pay off his fraud judgment

Two former federal prosecutors on Sunday mused about what might happen if Donald Trump decides to go to someone like Elon Musk or even Vladimir Putin to pay of his massive fraud judgment out of New York.Trump may be in a legal bind after being ordered...

Judge Engoron just responded to Donald Trump’s attempt to pause having to pay off more than $350 million, saying, “You have failed to explain, much less justify, any basis for a stay.”

I wonder if the mob will use that to run the numbers racket ? Would be ironically appropriate ...

DuncinToffee · 28/02/2024 20:06

Haha

Trump's lawyers just confessed in writing that he doesn't have the money to pay the $466,000,000 New York State fine.

Spandauer · 28/02/2024 22:41

They give with one hand and then take with the other.😡

Supreme Court agrees to hear former President Trump’s immunity claim in election interference case the week of April 22.

Trump is going to be very happy about this as it means it's almost impossible to see how a trial will happen before the election now.

Spandauer · 28/02/2024 22:57

However this is more like it.

BREAKING NEWS: New York State Appellate Judge Anil Singh just denied Donald’s request to halt enforcement of the $454 million judgment in his civil business fraud case.

Judge Singh ruled that Donald must post a bond covering the FULL AMOUNT in order to stop enforcement of the judgment.

In an emergency hearing, Donald’s lawyers tried to get the court to agree to a partial bond of $100 million. That is now rejected.

Donald still has to the middle of March to appeal his decision.

I can't keep up with all the verdicts, appeals and decisions and then counter appeals. It seems like there are so many different courts, appeal processes, judges decisions in the US. Is this the same in all countries?

I can't either.
I tend to listen to the lawfare weekly round up on all things trump.

'suppose the us is in many ways like the eu with each state having their own laws and legal systems with a layer of federal burocracy.

The Supreme Court have just come down clearly on Trump's side. I'm so bloody furious.
There is no reason why either side needs an additional 2 Months to frame their arguments since they've already done it at least twice already.

I suppose some members of the Supreme Court are too busy taking expensive holidays to hear the case sooner

Eyesopenwideawake · 29/02/2024 09:53

Hypothetically if the SC find for Trump could Biden have him arrested and sent, say, to a prison camp in Siberia?? 😁

If SCOTUS find for Trump, then there's no need for SCOTUS ever again.

AcrossthePond55 · 29/02/2024 12:20

Well, Group, I'm out in the 'wilds' (of Disney World) in our caravan again so am on and off the grid.

McConnell is giving up the leadership:

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/4495954-mcconnell-exit-surprises-gop-its-trumps-party-now/

I'm still in a 'holding pattern' on the Trump legal circus. It's all going to end up before SCOTUS and they'll delay everything as long as they can. They could have bumped the immunity issue to the head of the docket, instead arguments won't begin until April. Trump's legal beagles are determined to delay anything 'criminal' until after the election so you can bet they'll drag arguments out as long as they can.

I shall now leave the real world behind for a few days and enter the worlds of Fantasy, Adventure, and Tomorrow.

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

McConnell exit surprises GOP: ‘It’s Trump’s party now’

GOP senators say Sen. Mitch McConnell (Ky.) saw the writing on the wall in choosing this term to be his final as Senate Republican leader, arguing it’s increasingly obvious that the party is drifti…

BIG news out of Ft. Pierce:

The DOJ advises Judge Cannon that the "60-day rule" does NOT apply in Trump's case as he has already been indicted & the case is already being litigated.

So, no reason to delay taking him to trial, even with elections in November.

greenacrylicpaint · 04/03/2024 19:53

so.
who's surprised by the suppreme court ruling? asked no one ever...

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/03/2024 20:03

They didn't say he was not guilty of insurrection, which he had asked them to do.
