I am utterly perplexed by the decision to charge and label the daughter as being in a consensual incestuous relationship with her father. She had 2 babies with him before she was 20. He had another with another of his daughters, which was forced. Who on earth in their right mind believes that any daughter would willingly have a consensual sexual relationship with their own father and choose to father his children and give birth at home without any medical assistance and then kill her own babies?!!! This poor young lady lost her mother at a young age and has doubtless endured years of abuse and trauma. Yet here she is, paraded around by the tabloids and charged rather than being treated as a victim.

I dont disagree AT ALL that she was a victim, but if she is insistent to the authorities that it was a consensual relationship and she is an adult, I dont really know how else they can proceed?

Thank you for this thread I needed somewhere to vent. The news story says he'd moved with the children to that house 15 years ago, after the death of their mother. So, she's been groomed, and possibly sexually abused, since she was at least 5 or 6 years old. It may have started earlier. Iirc there were around a dozen children. I suspect we haven't heard the half of it. This poor girl is 100% a victim.

I wondered about that too.
I had a school friend who was raped by her father from around 13 or 14. At twenty she was still living with him. She was so damaged by his abuse and manipulation that she acted like his partner (her Mum had left when she was 15). She did eventually leave home in her twenties and got married, but I lost touch with her and she killed herself a decade later, leaving a baby and a toddler motherless.
To say that a very young woman with her whole life based on abuse is making a free choice to stay is so lacking in any sense of what happens to abused girls.

100% agree. The reporting shocked me, when it says it was consensual. She’s been groomed at the very least and abused her whole life, there’s nothing consensual about it, even if she believes herself that it is.

Well at least I'm not the only one who feels this. I searched online to see if there was any uproar in Poland but couldn't find anything. I feel helpless over this. I'll keep looking and see if there is an online campaign of any sort. This poor young lady needs a lot of help and therapy.

What really fueled my sense of injustice was the tabloids using the term 'incestuous' relationship in their headlines, even if inverted commas. People always ignore the inverted commas and read it as a given. There then proceeded a barrage of comments about how sick they were or how they had never read anything as sick before in their lives! Well, actually unfortunately we do hear about hideous sexual child abuse and yet people seem to think this is different. It's just hideous!

I can't imagine, she'd already been impregnated by him at least once, given birth without medical attention and seen her baby...what? Hopefully 😔 stillborn, killed in front of her, taken away and not brought back or was she coerced into killing it? And then it happened again, but this time she knew what to expect. And she had to watch the same thing happen to her sister. This is monstrous. I'm not a believer but this makes me wish for a hell.

Just to be pedantic, but in English law, duress is no defence to murder.
