Bagpuss2022 · 06/09/2023 22:41

My neighbours are a pain but this is bat shit it was bin day today only cardboard recycling and garden/food waste.
The female came out about 10.20pm and started jet washing the bins?! Who does that in the week.
Im already slightly annoyed as their dog has been howling all day, She works term time school hours so the poor dog has got used to her being home.I know it’s not the dogs fault or there’s really but both things in one day.
am I right in thinking the jet washing the bins including spraying them copiously and using a brush to scrub them is really strange?

Some one who has just brought their bins in they forgot about and realised they wanted to give them a quick blast whilst they are empty.

There was not hard to figure out was it OP 😂

I'd say it was the limit of what was acceptable in this heat if it wad a 5/10 minute job. Its only just started cooling down at 10

Our bin wasn't even collected today so at least you have clean bins 🤣 misses point entirely

Murderers. Thank you very much for asking.

It would be too hot then plus you said she works school hours

obladeeobladah · 06/09/2023 22:53

I had maggots crawling all over my bin once. I had to pour a kettle of boiling water over but I would have jet washed if I had one. And I'd do it at 10.30pm if that's when I noticed them- I wouldn't bring them back closer to the house without cleaning it first but most likely I'd have to do it straight away as have to leave early in the morning

Emz6103 · 06/09/2023 22:55

No it's not strange, i expect she puts her dog shit in the big black wheelie bin and it probably stinks BUT at 10.15pm is bang out of order!! I imagine it's loud being sprayed and scrubbed and really should have been done sooner if she's been at work all day she's had plenty of time to clean it anything after 9pm should be left till the morning. It's wrong to create a disturbance late in the evening..... especially as her dog has been howling all day! YANBU

Well you should thank her then, at least your daughter wont have a stinky bin under her window all night attracting flies. Also I'm sure your daughter wont suffer through only 20 min of disturbance not like its ongoing party is it. Win Win.

Emz6103 · 06/09/2023 23:00

Lol it's not "scolding hot" it's a normal summer day! A lovely hot summer day is hardly exceptional circumstances!

Someone removing the traces of a body/murder Confused

Emz6103 · 06/09/2023 23:05

So why not wait until the morning? Hardly an emergency that needs doing at almost half ten at night, imbsure it's not that hard to figure out that it would still be empty in the morning!

EconomyClassRockstar · 06/09/2023 23:06

If it's unusually hot, I would guess she found maggots and it freaked her out.
