My neighbours are a pain but this is bat shit it was bin day today only cardboard recycling and garden/food waste.
The female came out about 10.20pm and started jet washing the bins?! Who does that in the week.
Im already slightly annoyed as their dog has been howling all day, She works term time school hours so the poor dog has got used to her being home.I know it’s not the dogs fault or there’s really but both things in one day.
am I right in thinking the jet washing the bins including spraying them copiously and using a brush to scrub them is really strange?

Someone who antihistamines have just kicked in and they will be up until 4am cleaning random things - I know people like this. Time is manmade construct, to them and means nothing 😁.

Yabu - this evening I encountered a massive spider & proceeded to spray the whole house with peppermint oil spray…although not the external bins (but would do if needed)

Maybe there’s a reason similar to this, or a bin split or something which can’t be left in this heat.

Emz6103 · 06/09/2023 23:13

Except antihistamines make you very sleepy, that's what nytol is, bloody good stuff.....maybe amphetamines lol then they'd be scrubbin to drum n base 😂

Murderers. Thank you very much for asking.

🤣🤣

Emz6103 · 06/09/2023 23:16

I think spraying the whole house with mint oil because you saw one spider is definitely unreasonable.......

Lol it's not "scolding hot" it's a normal summer day! A lovely hot summer day is hardly exceptional circumstances!

Except it’s not summer, and there’s armber warnings so not really normal. But yes good point 😂😂😂

OP if she was right below the window why not just stick your head out and say “excuse me it’s quite late and you’re making a lot of noise and have woken my child, would you kind doing that at a more sociable hour”…. Let me guess, you don’t like conflict?

Don't use bleach, as it's a giveaway

BackAgainstWall · 06/09/2023 23:23

She’s an ignorant tw*t.

Then suddenly at night strange things happen and the bins gain the ability to vanish, or so it's said in mythology when certainly people conduct late night rituals with the bins

moneyplantnation · 06/09/2023 22:48

Some one who has just brought their bins in they forgot about and realised they wanted to give them a quick blast whilst they are empty.

There was not hard to figure out was it OP 😂

But at that time and a jet washer is noisy etc, some consideration for the neighbours would be good manners one would presume

When you have had a neighbour mow the lawn at 3.30am, cleaning a bin at 10pm is nothing .

But I'm going for maggots and wanted them gone before it got worse.

Hawkins0009 · 06/09/2023 23:27

You are a smegging pickle, 🥒 have a smegging pickle and use it where the sun disappears

HeatherMoores · 06/09/2023 23:27

Or bipolar? I think it can make some people clean in the night.

Perhaps she has OCD? Sometimes when mne flares up I have to clean a specific thing or I won't sleep.
Still a pain in the arse though.

Dinojump · 06/09/2023 23:33

As someone who has had maggots in a bin before (thanks to some twat putting food in there), I would have jet-washed at that time, too.

OP I see your neighbour and their 10 pm bin wash. I raise you my neighbour's midnight car wash. With a hose. And bucket clattering around on the road. His partner had the cheek to say to me a few days later oh he's so crazy he was out washing the car at midnight the other night. I said yes I know, he woke us up. He hasn't done it since.
