I'm old school, stuck in the 80's to be fair, rarely listen to any new kind of music! So I guess I'm looking for something that would work as a fantastic song to walk back down the aisle with my new husband.

I like pop, he likes rock....

So far songs we like but have decided not quite right are:

Love Shack (B52's)
Groove is in the Heart (Deelite)
Never Gonna Give you Up (Rick)
Don't stop Believing (Journey)
Everywhere (Fleetwood Mac)

We can't use 'happy' as used by a friend...

Does anyone have any other suggestions of something that is uplifting, fun and will make us and our guests smile?

Running out of options and wedding in 2 weeks!

Would be really grateful for any suggestions new, old, classics, out there!

Thank you so much!

You can't choose a song selected by randoms on Mumsnet. Sorry but it's got to be one that means something to you both.

If you love the 80s how about Suddenly by Angry Anderson... the Neighbours wedding song for Scott and Charlene. 😁

Aww I walked back up the aisle to this. My dad was a big Queen fan and he passed away suddenly the year before I got married so it was one of the ways we included him in our day.

@candyflosstheboss What other music are you having in the wedding? Entrance music? First dance?

Id probably have This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole 😊

catgirl1976 · 06/09/2023 22:20

The Never Ending Story

The lyrics are perfect for a wedding, it’s SO 80s and it makes everyone happy.

Walking on Sunshine?

Possimpible · 06/09/2023 22:23

Agree with Natalie Cole, it's used a lot but that's because it's such a good one.

I don't want to say the one I used, but we almost had Let's Stick Together by Bryan Ferry? Friday I'm in Love by The Cure?
