Taylor codes- Are you ready for it?

Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

@Conkersinautumn but a good gig stays with you for life! It’s an experience and if people have the money and place the value on it then why not! I’ve seen TS several times and it’s not just about her singing, it’s the entire thing! Getting ready with friends, drinks before we go out, the atmosphere when you’re there, going home and talking about it. I wouldn’t go into debt for it, but it’s something I’ll happily spend my money on!

People can spend their money how they wish but the desperation does seem a bit OTT. If its been as oversubscribbed as in Singapore then realistically only 10percent of people who even get a code will go on to get a ticket.

Chocolateship · 05/07/2023 15:06

Conkersinautumn · 05/07/2023 14:57

All the release time and date stuff is deliberately to create hype to get people desperate in order to spend more. Teenagers are literally exploited being particularly susceptible to this form of pressure marketing.

It's because the US sale was a shit show. I do agree in general people tend to spend more when there's hype and pressure, but this sort of system at least attempts to block bots from being able to scoop up loads of tickets and then flog them for much more than face value. If it was a free for all TM would definitely crash, prices for the average person would be way up and it'd be more unfair. She'd still easily sell out every venue without the presale hype.

It's ridiculous and is making me angry

SummaLuvin · 05/07/2023 15:08

@Conkersinautumn but by saying you feel 'concerned' for those of us who enjoy concerts is inherently superior and it implies you think your opinion is the right one. I don't get fancy cars, at all, but I don't feel sorry for a person who can afford and enjoy one. I just accept that different people enjoy different things.

JustLurkingAway · 05/07/2023 15:13

Conkersinautumn · 05/07/2023 14:56

Not cool and superior! Concerned. Spending the amounts of money noted above for tickets to an event is ridiculous and I am concerned that its been normaliswd to spend massive amounts of money (enough for a whole festival ticket, more than a months worth of food for eg) for 3 hours of entertainment. I am really glad I can access things I enjoy far better value and that a higher % of my money actually goes to supporting the act I cam to see, not the ticket sales company!

Thanks for your concern, but I don't think it's necessary Grin

Midnites · 05/07/2023 15:13

I don't think they need a marketing ploy to build hype. There are far more people wanting to buy tickets than there are tickets.

Why the anger? You either get a ticket or you don't. All the pp claiming their children will be devastated if they don't get to go.
I can only imagine the carnage on this thread later if certain posters don't get codes.
It reeks of entitlement.

Quartz2208 · 05/07/2023 15:16

@Conkersinautumn she doesn’t need hype - teenage girls who love her don’t need hyped up. These dates are always going to attract far more interest than supply

all of this is to try and stop ticket touts so that the tickets get to the actual fans at realistic prices.

the hospitality gold tickets at Anfield for example are cheaper than the cheapest Liverpool football package against the lowest premier league side (and trust me I have had to buy them as well!)

mumofteenss · 05/07/2023 15:21

Not rtft but has anyone had codes yet? I know my kids will ask the second they walk in the door

TokyoSushi · 05/07/2023 15:21

Nothing yet, one of the 'bunch of football fans' 🙄 and a Ticket Master registered person reporting for duty.

Yes, £27 per year to be an LFC member which entitles you to basically nothing except the very occasional opportunity to be able to secure a match ticket, therefore us LFC members are more than used to obtaining difficult to come by tickets!

Emelene · 05/07/2023 15:29

No email yet… I feel like this already doesn’t bode well for Ticketmaster being able to handle the demand? :/

MadeForThis · 05/07/2023 15:40

There will be a lot of disappointed people soon.

PuppyPerson · 05/07/2023 15:41

So if I get a Ticketmaster email today which I registered for, I'll still also potentially get a Midnights presale code between tomorrow and Friday... And people with Midnight's presale can buy before those with Ticketmaster email codes?! Otherwise how is it presale?! Sheesh!

JustLurkingAway · 05/07/2023 15:45

Yeah, midnights presale is a week before the ticketmaster presale! Not sure how many tickets will have been allocated to each though

Yes quite - the ability to be able to ballot for match tickets which are oversubscribed once you remove season tickets and hospitality packages at huge rate.

mine go once a year for a joint birthday Christmas present - notts forest cost £360 a ticket and the hospitality part isn’t even at Anfield

From what I understand if you preordered midnights you should definitely get a pre-sale code. Though not 100% sure on what the ranking of top 3 venue choices was for, whether our code will let us access any of the dates, or if it will restrict to one of the venues only. These sales are 10th-12th July depending on venue.

The general sale, the one we registered for, will confirm today if we have been chosen for an access code or waitlisted. The code I believe will only work for the venue you were elected for. These sales are 18th-20th July depending on venue.

SummaLuvin · 05/07/2023 15:49

@TokyoSushi yeah, as much as there is a part of me that is like "damn, every ticket sold is one less chance for me" I can't complain, I think it's fair there is some sort of benefit for the Liverpool fans. And it's not as if Liverpool fans who are really not fussed on Taylor will be forking out £300+ per ticket!

KingOfThieves · 05/07/2023 16:09

New dates have been added!!

Taylor codes- Are you ready for it?
Goodbookandcupoftea · 05/07/2023 16:09

Extra dates added!

Emelene · 05/07/2023 16:11

Eek hurray one of the new dates is on my birthday!!

What happened to the Glastonbury headliner idea though?

JustLurkingAway · 05/07/2023 16:11

Oh my god we get paramore!

JustLurkingAway · 05/07/2023 16:12

Hope they add more for Spain, they've only got one date!

notforonesecond · 05/07/2023 16:14

Europe dates have started getting their emails through from 5pm local time so fingers crossed the UK ones will filter through after 5 here!

pinkhousesarebest · 05/07/2023 16:16

M’y dd has just got hers for Milan - not Ticketmaster though. We are hoping for Lyon..
