Bath used as Bidet = clean before toddler bathes!

I feel this is a non-brainer but need to convince my other half.

Husband uses the bath as a bidet after he does his business 💩, we bathe our 2 year old in this same bath and before every bath my toddler has, I clean the bath. My husband believes there's no need for me to be cleaning it as the bath won't be dirty for the little one to bathe in because the water alone that he uses while cleaning his bum will "clean" it.

Please vote and/or give me help to persuade him I should be cleaning it before the little one bathes! 😭

I wouldn’t be worried at all about this. There’s poo everywhere anyway and I presume he’s wiping before he’s washing so there won’t be much actual poo in there. Just enjoy bathing your baby without the added stress and effort of cleaning first.

Some of these responses have had me in stitches! This is fully true and I like to clean the bath regardless of bath as bidet use!

My biggest concern is that she likes to try to drink the water and inevitably, even if I manage to stop her there will still be some water that manages to go into her mouth.

Even if she didn't try to drink the water, I would want the bath cleaned before even I take a bath myself never mind a little one.

Assuming he wipes his bum like most people ONLY do when they have a poo without also washing, him then washing his bum in the bath is no different to us who don’t wash our bums elsewhere before we have a bath! If that makes sense?! I only wipe with tissue throughout the day… then have a bath in the evening.

I don’t think the majority use a bidet!
