Bath used as Bidet = clean before toddler bathes!

I feel this is a non-brainer but need to convince my other half.

Husband uses the bath as a bidet after he does his business 💩, we bathe our 2 year old in this same bath and before every bath my toddler has, I clean the bath. My husband believes there's no need for me to be cleaning it as the bath won't be dirty for the little one to bathe in because the water alone that he uses while cleaning his bum will "clean" it.

Please vote and/or give me help to persuade him I should be cleaning it before the little one bathes! 😭

I call poo troll.

BigCheeseSandwich · 09/05/2023 20:00

What does he do when he poos at work or while out and about?

What does he do when he poos at work or while out and about?

Probably gets under his bridge and washes it in the river

AgnesX · 09/05/2023 20:04

So how how does use the bath as a bidet...fill it and hang his bum over the edge?? Seriously, I can't actually imagine how he does it...🥴

Ok so husband has seen the thread and he agreed with the comment along the lines of "if the bath looks clean then it should be fine".

I have asked for clarification on the process for those who have asked. He wipes before he gets in BUT if "its runny, there's no point wiping until the tissue is clean because then there's no point in going into the bath". I am appalled. At the very least I assumed he would wipe fully. I also always keep flushable wipes by the toilet.

He takes off his bottom half of clothes, gets in and uses the shower head.

I understand why anyone will think this thread is a joke and I wish it was 😖

He uses all the tissue needed, no water rinsing

There will be splash back on your shower head.

IMustDoMoreExercise · 09/05/2023 20:26

Flushable wipes are not flushable.

Oysterbabe · 09/05/2023 20:26

Yeah I want to hear about logistics too. Does he hang his arse over the edge or get fully naked and climb in? Also, why did he tell you about it? Seems like the sort of thing you might take to the grave.

There’s no such thing as a ‘flushable wipe’ they still block sewer systems and poison the oceans as our government continues to release sewage

Flushable wipes are not flushable.

They are flushable but not biodegradable.

You have poo on your showerhead and have been using it to wash your hair. Hth

WWYDIYWMRN · 09/05/2023 20:35

I can believe this as my partner used to do the same. When I first met him he had no toilet paper in the house 😯😯

Now we live in a house without a detachable shower head so that's put a stop to it

ellebelli · 09/05/2023 20:45

I have a B&B, without bidets.
I have been asked to leave a plastic jug in the toilet for this purpose-Why can't you do this? saves him getting half naked and clambering into the bath.
It also solves any cleanliness issues.
When he has rinsed his ass I presume he then dries it? I would be more concerned about your towels tbh

That is a good idea, surprisingly he's never used a bottle/jug to clean himself and said its too much faff.

Sorry I missed your other question - he uses a bath towel not the hand towel

This thread is so funny 😂😂

Surely everyone (OP and toddler included) but all of us in our households - gets in the bath to have a wash / be clean so we accept that after any use, the bath tub is not going to be perfectly clean?!
