Do you tuck your top in?

I think I’ve worked out why I always look frumpy, I never tuck shirts/blouses/t-shirts etc in … I worry Ill look fat but I’m probably making myself look fatter having all my tops untucked? lumberjack shirt in the jeans

French tuck wounds weird - I’d just assume someone forgot to tuck their top in properly. I prefer untucked, but that’s because I tend to buy tops with a bit of shape, rather than loose and baggy, so you can see where your waist is anyway, meaning that tucking in would create the appearance of having a stomach bulge you don’t actually have, due to the scrunched up material, rather than hiding a stomach that you do have. I also find tucking in clothes annoying and impractical, as it’s so much more effort to rearrange your clothes again if you have to stretch your arms up or out to reach something. And once you have started tucking in, it’s hard to change your mind, because you’ve made the clothing all wrinkly by then where you had it tucked in.
