Cheese sauce nachos are the best cinema snack?

Now everything is overpriced we know that, and the popcorn smell draws you in but the cheese sauce on the nachos are the best cinema snack right?

The hotdogs are meh.

I guess it doesn't even have to be nachos. Cheese sauce with like potato fry things that they sell is also excellent.

If you want to eat noisy and smelly food while watching a film....do it at home.

This is why I don't go to the cinema any more.
Why the fuck can't people watch a film without shoving revolting food into their faces?

One might also say that if you need complete silence and zero olfactory input perhaps you should stay home to watch movies😁.

Love the dramatic language and superiority here. Next time I visit the cinema I'll go for the nachos and see if I can spot the scowling mumsnetters.

When I used to work for Vue I'd have nachos on my lunch break with extra, extra cheese sauce and extra jalapenos. The cheese sauce would easily fill over half the container. Each nacho had to be dripping in sauce.

On a completely unrelated note, I now have IBS and struggle with cheese in general....

But surely if I'm not OBESE then I can EAT WHATEVER I WANT wherever I want. We are also in an ENVIRONMENTAL CRISIS do you drive, travel on any transport that requires fossil fuels. Do you know the carbon footprint of the movie business? MASSIVE. Maybe we should all just stay at home and eat GRASS ....in silence.

I forgot how anti snacks in cinema some of MN was, but the shitty language used by those posters is awful.

Maybe that sounds precious but I didn't expect such rudeness from a lighthearted thread I thought nobody could be seriously annoyed about.

Just remember cinemas need us oinkers to be able to continue showing the films everybody that goes seem to love

In the imax screen there's the small trays connected to the seats and at the front it's not overly dark.

It's very weird to judge people for eating snacks at a movie theater when the movie theater sells the snacks for people to eat. 🤷‍♀️

Very true. I used to love cinema nachos, but moved house and now go to Cineworld as it is the nearest cinema. The cheese sauce is truly disgusting (I love the cheap plastic cheese sauce served in most cinemas). It's thin, vinegary, weird stuff, that tastes off. Such a shame.

It is vinegary and weird isn't it?

Don't understand how they got it so wrong when other cinemas have delicious plasticy cheese sauce.
