Could I tint my own eyebrows. Is it a risk

That's it really.

Which tint would you recommend so I don't look like I have catapillars stuck on my face

Massive risk

CanofCant · 15/04/2023 21:17

I wouldn't say it's a risk but I suppose it depends on what shade you are after. I use eylure dybrow in the darkest shade and it looks fine. I hope 😂

Eggseggseverywhere · 15/04/2023 21:18

I do mine every month. An absolute doddle. Dd 17 does her own! Tint is about a fiver online. Get a proper brush. And a pot of Vaseline and a box of cotton buds. Really easy!

😂

Maybe I won't then and just stick to those brow mascaras then. ..

Easy. Eylure Dybrow is simple to use and effective.

Eggseggseverywhere · 15/04/2023 21:20

The brand is Apraise... Ebay.. £5.49
And the activation drops are....

Tailfeather · 15/04/2023 21:20

I use dyebrow too. So much quicker and cheaper doing your own. I brush it on and then use cotton buds to take off the excess and shape them.

dementedpixie · 15/04/2023 21:20

It's very easy
I dab it on with a cotton bud rather than using the mascara brush thing that comes with it

DorritLittle · 15/04/2023 21:20

Just get them tinted at a salon. It’s the best beauty money I spend.

Eyebrows are fine to do yourself. Lashes on the other hand..!!

I use this - Schwarzkopf Brow Tint Professional formula Eyebrow Dye Brow Tinting Kit with Gentle Permanent Colour - Dark Brown https://amzn.eu/d/4tjttVW

I'm a total idiot with this sort of thing and I manage it.

LubaLuca · 15/04/2023 21:21

I do mine, I think it's Schwarzkopf stuff that I use. There's no risk, it's really easy.

Eggseggseverywhere · 15/04/2023 21:22

Developer drops are £2.99. Prob get 6 months from the tint and still on with first bottle of drops!

Ludlow2 · 15/04/2023 21:22

Cool.
I'm going for it.

Wait till Ludlow goes to the office with mega brows

😂

Not risky at all, I always do it. Look on YouTube, loads of videos but basically put Vaseline all around the brow, mix up a small amount of men's beard dye, apply and wipe off after allotted time (or less if nervous). Very effective and cheap and easy.

Trollsinmyeggbox · 15/04/2023 21:23

My 13 year old does her own every few weeks - uses eyelure.

user1473878824 · 15/04/2023 21:25

Dylure’s Dyebrow is great. I do mine all the time and no problems. While you get used to it put it on for two minutes at a time so you don’t go overboard until you’re used to it. The brown is great. I’m a brunette and use the black because I like them a bit darker but both are really natural colours.

You’re meant to do ten minutes or something and I do at least 20 (😬 don’t do this the first time).

if it’s a bit dodge it’ll just be some dye on your skin that’s a problem and that fades very quickly, tidy it up with whatever you do your brows with now.

when you put it on just tidy up and mess with a cotton bud.

Ludlow2 · 15/04/2023 21:26

I see eylure has lash tint too.

I may get that too.

I don’t bother with Vaseline around them like they do when they do it professionally but never had an issue.

Plump82 · 15/04/2023 21:27

You'll be fine.
I forgot to wipe the dye off once and went to bed with it on. What a shock when I looked in the mirror in the morning. Luckily once I washed it off it actually looked totally fine.

I use this

I have fair brows, during lockdown I started using one I found on eBay but now use eyelure

It's easy and they do several shades

HermioneWeasley · 15/04/2023 21:28

It’s completely easy and v cheap

dun1urkin · 15/04/2023 21:28

I do mine and my eyelashes, have done for maybe 30 years now and nothing bad has happened!!
I use Refectocil, they have a good range of colours. I do my eyelashes blue-black, and use 2/3 natural brown 1/3 grey mix for my eyebrows

HunterHearstHelmsley · 15/04/2023 21:28

Ludlow2 · 15/04/2023 21:26

I see eylure has lash tint too.

I may get that too.

I've used that in the past too. No issues with it at all, I just slightly prefer the Schwarkopf one, but it's just personal preference.

Worst case, cover up with a bit of concealer.

waterlego · 15/04/2023 21:29

I’m completely ham-fisted and incompetent at beauty stuff (can’t style my own hair or apply make up well) and I have tinted my brows a few times with Eyelure. As others have said- it’s very easy!
