Eat a (2023) Easter Egg - it was a big Dairy Milk one !

I want one too now 😕

Hah your emoji is the face I'm pulling. I also want one now

However, I've eaten 2x 10 pack of crème eggs this month so far

MrsJackGrealish · 24/03/2023 14:02

I want to campaign for Easter Eggs to be filled with goodies. Most are hollow now and its a let down.

@MrsJackGrealish they are they 'real' ones!! I have two waiting for me, one with buttons, one with smarties. Shaking them & hear the 'goodies' inside and I'm transported back to my childhood. It makes me ridiculously happy!!

I'd rather have those than a huge Lindt or anything else!

GasPanic · 24/03/2023 14:16

Some well known chocolates (mentioning no names) are speculated to contain butyric acid, a chemical compound also found in vomit :

@GasPanic

that's interesting. I can't go near a certain brand of chocolate, let alone eat it.

GalileoHumpkins · 24/03/2023 16:01

I'm in Ireland and the two Freddo easter eggs (teeny tiny sized ones) that I've consumed so far have been bloody delicious.

BotterMon · 24/03/2023 15:25

Despite nearing pensionable age, my mother gave me an Easter Egg last weekend. It's calling to me and getting louder every day. DH is also a chocoholic and it's rude not to share; but he's away this weekend at a rugby match. I feel the calling will become so loud it will have to be silenced.....

@BotterMon that's the only sensible option!! Enjoy 😉

boatyardblues · 24/03/2023 16:05

I won’t lie. I’m half way through my giant Lindor egg. I bought it last night, for Easter, because there are never any decent ones left in the shops close to Easter. There won’t be a decent one left in my house either. 🤣

TommyNever · 24/03/2023 16:08

I'm a Lindt bunny man too, usually enjoyed with a scotch or a brandy cocktail. But this snap is from last year. I've not had any easter choc so far this year but have scoffed a number of hot cross buns.

MarchMadness23 · 24/03/2023 16:09

OK

I'm starting to feel the 'need' to check out my Easter Egg to make sure it's not going to be a let down at Easter. 🤔

Term finished today (yayyyyyy) so I think a small egg to celebrate the Easter Holidays seems quite appropriate?!?!

@boatyardblues half way through

bloody light weight!!

After finishing it tonight, you need to get out there tomorrow & replace it, it's the only decent thing to do!!

boatyardblues · 24/03/2023 16:13

I only opened it late morning and I’m pinned to the sofa by a sleeping cat, with egg stranded in another room. I will get back on track later. 💪

JadeSeahorse · 24/03/2023 16:13

YADNBU!

A couple of weeks ago I ate an out of date - June 2022 - large Maltese egg that my disabled DD decided she didn't want last Easter and I had forgotten about.

The chocolate was a bit white in patches but hey ho it wasn't getting wasted.🤣

JadeSeahorse · 24/03/2023 16:15

Malteser autocorrect at its best again 🙄!

MegsLevante · 24/03/2023 16:18

I’ve been eating two bags of mini eggs a week since I spotted them in my local garage. OP you are not alone!

Guiltypleasures001 · 24/03/2023 16:20

As Fraser would say
"Dirty Girl" Grin

WonderingWanda · 24/03/2023 16:37

Yep, hang your head in shame 😆

EyesOnThePies · 24/03/2023 16:39

QueenOfThorns · 24/03/2023 13:29

You have clearly never eaten Hershey’s ‘chocolate’!

You are quite right!

I’m not going to eat anything that smells like sick, haven’t included it in the chocolate category. Kinnerton and various unbranded stuff on sale in petrol stations and Poundland doesn’t count either. Or that cheap stuff aimed at kids in Lidl.

Daisybee6 · 24/03/2023 16:47

I've been eating the mini egg ones for the last month 😆

babbi · 24/03/2023 16:49

SorryButThatsAFact · 24/03/2023 13:22

Eating chocolate is like having sex; if you end up filthy and with deep feeling of shame and self-loathing, it just means you're doing it right 🤣

@SorryButThatsAFact 👏👏
brilliant 👌🏻

love it … made be laugh after a 💩 day .

Thank you

Kamia · 24/03/2023 16:52

I've given people Easter eggs for birthday and Christmas presents. Is this naughty?

AelinoftheWildfire · 24/03/2023 16:55

I've been eating roughly 4 a week for the last few weeks.... I must be pure filth

askmenow · 24/03/2023 16:58

ConstableCountry · 24/03/2023 12:27

Flake eggs are gorgeous!!

Urgh... have you SEEN the ingredients lately.... Mondelez replaced the largely milk/cream ingredients with veg oil and more specifically palm oil.
Flakes bars definitely don't have the same creamy crunch they used to but sadly todays purchasers wouldn't know the difference.
In comparison, today the chocolate feels grainy / gritty on the tongue and leaves an unpleasant oily slime at the back of the throat.

Incredibly sad what US Conglomerate Kraft has done to our Bourneville products.

MyGrandmaLizzie · 24/03/2023 17:00

Saw the title and thought why isn't this is the Sex forum.

ConstableCountry · 24/03/2023 11:37

Exactly!

Oh dear, the correct response should have been “Eggsactly”!

I’m sorry, couldn’t resist.

yoyo1234 · 24/03/2023 17:04

2 eaten here already , the shame ...the guilt 😔....mainly because I brought them for the DC (will replace them honest).

honeyytoast · 24/03/2023 17:04

I can’t wait for my horrific yearly treat of melting together leftover Easter eggs and eating the melted chocolate with a spoon or fragments of not melted egg. Easter egg chocolate is just better for some reason and I also don’t want to get in the habit of doing this regularly
