ugh!

Cadbury’s chocolate is now rank, only outranked in rankness by Cadbury’s Easter Egg chocolate.

Plus the excess packaging of E Eggs and the bad value per 109g of chocolate.

Send yourself to a re-education camp immediately where your brain will be reprogrammed to head for the Lindt bunnies, or one of the Lindt flat packed all-year eggs known as ‘bars’.

You have clearly never eaten Hershey’s ‘chocolate’!

PomonaPomona · 24/03/2023 13:36

I stuffed myself with a big egg this lunchtime too. Love eggs.

Absolutely love them . . .

beguilingeyes · 24/03/2023 13:37

I'm a Lindt bunny girl (or teddy, depending on the season).
This year they're doing strawberry ones which are lush. The hazelnut ones are epic too.

xogossipgirlxo · 24/03/2023 13:45

I am eating few chocolate eggs from Lidl every day. Yesterday I ate 10 white chocolate ones. Not "few", but it was one of these days 😂

TheDogsMother · 24/03/2023 13:46

I wish I could be as relaxed about it as you are ! First egg, Easter Sunday, soonest.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 24/03/2023 13:48

YABU, but only because it's Cadbury's chocolate.

Now Malteasers eggs, on the other hand... I've yet to succumb but I shall own my dirtiness when I can resist the desire no longer.

Pinkandblueslushpuppy · 24/03/2023 13:51

Easter eggs taste so much nicer than a normal bar of chocolate. I heard it's because they don't have to have such a long shelf life they use less additives apparently. This is my fun easter fact - which actually doesn't sound fun now I've typed it out 😂

Chocolatesandroses · 24/03/2023 13:52

😱😱😱😱before it’s Easter OP, I’m horrified . Also could have eaten a better one that cadburys

MrsJackGrealish · 24/03/2023 14:02

I want to campaign for Easter Eggs to be filled with goodies. Most are hollow now and its a let down.

Some well known chocolates (mentioning no names) are speculated to contain butyric acid, a chemical compound also found in vomit :

You ate an easter egg, not a easter egg

Pure filth!

Slutdrop · 24/03/2023 14:24

You are right to be feeling dirty OP, it should have been a Galaxy Ripple egg.
Cadbury's chocolate is vile since they changed the recipe 🤢
You should be ashamed.

That would explain why they taste of vomit then Grin

As soon as the first Ferrero Rocher one - with the hazelnut bits in the actual chocolate of the egg - was on the shelves I had it. Ate it all in a day. Knew I was starting Ozempic before Easter and didn't think I'd manage that again. Wasn't risking not being able to 😂

Nothing like it 😋

Great headline. You caught me out there!

Me too, much as i like the delights of chocolate,I like the tales of the completely expected.!

WordleInTwo · 24/03/2023 14:52

I've just ordered a couple of Thornton's Continental eggs.
They're only available online.
Other than that it's Mini Eggs all the way.

DustyLee123 · 24/03/2023 15:12

You’re allowed to eat Easter chocolate as soon as it’s out in the shops ☺️

I heard it was because they have a higher oil content so the chocolate can move around the mould more easily - either way I absolutely agree it's better than their ordinary stuff!

Norestnosanity · 24/03/2023 15:14

I want one too now 😕

BotterMon · 24/03/2023 15:25

Despite nearing pensionable age, my mother gave me an Easter Egg last weekend. It's calling to me and getting louder every day. DH is also a chocoholic and it's rude not to share; but he's away this weekend at a rugby match. I feel the calling will become so loud it will have to be silenced.....

Badbudgeter · 24/03/2023 15:30

Not really the point but I like the moser Roth eggs from Aldi. The chocolate is always nice.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 24/03/2023 15:34

I was given an Easter egg at a staff meeting by my manager. A number of us indulged in our eggs there and then.

Did it feel wrong?

A bit.

But it also felt oh so right!

LilacRain12 · 24/03/2023 15:40

Been eating Easter eggs for a few weeks now.
Love the mini eggs one, had a dairy milk one and didn't enjoy. Messed around with the recipe.

RicherThanYews · 24/03/2023 15:50

Ahh, that first illicit egg is glorious isnt it? I remember giving up all sweet things for Lent about 2 years back and how I nearly killed my poor MIL when she offered me a bag of Maltesers at the end, she'll recover one day.

I gave up swearing last year but we don't talk about that.
If you want to really go for it you should eat half a dozen creme eggs with a teaspoon
