Listening to the sound of a split flat airport departure/arrival display and watching out for your flight number to appear!

Recording TOTP on a Thursday night on a cassette player and stopping and starting to cut out the presenters / waffle.

Getting weekly pay, in cash. Having a swimming baths in walking distance, in all directions and a gang of us going at primary school age. Having fields locally for miles to play on (now all housing estates and care homes). Getting smacked by a teacher. Getting a paper round as your first job while still in primary school.

TheToothofaPig · 09/03/2023 19:24

I mean I’m sure it’ll happen again someday, but not for a while.

BrutusMcDogface · 09/03/2023 19:30

All of the above! Though I’ve never been on Concorde but I can add watching it fly over every day when I was at uni!
