Surely nobody can eat a pack of pate?

There are 4 of us. Once a week we have lots of different types of salads with French bread and pate as our evening meal. We love pate. It gets eaten at breakfast on toast in the days afterwards.

We never managed to eat it all before we’re scared of it. Why don’t they sell it in usable portions?

Perhaps not at a family meal, though.

@Baconand

Me too. I can report I scoffed a whole packet myself in two sittings, with half a cucumber and toast. Diet definitely needs to begin tomorrow

OMG. No toast with pate? It's too delicious. I only get it if I go to a special restaurant. But 4 people should be able to finish it at a sitting if you're spreading it thickly.

Chunky pate with firm textured leaves is so good it doesn't need toast.

Everything needs toast!
I cant believe this thread is still going.
We need a pate produce AMA.
Ooo I wonder if there is a "how it made" pate version.

Homemade chicken liver pâté is the absolute best and a doddle to whip up. But if you can't be bothered with the faff, the Findlater's one (avail Waitrose) and the Fruity Chicken One (avail Sainsburys) are both delicious.

I get the Findlaters one from Ocado every week. Addictive, someone said in the reviews that it's like crack! I could eat a whole pot in one go but don't as have heard that too much liver can cause vit A toxicity.
