Pringles in the packed lunch

Pennecrayon · 18/01/2023 11:02

This feels like an odd question but I wanted to ask here in case I am missing something. We have a few tubes of Pringles left over from Christmas and I've been putting a few in a Tupperware for DS's packed lunch. He's 7.

Last night, I got a WhatsApp from a parent who I don't know very well to ask me if I would stop putting Pringles in DS's packed lunch because it's making her son jealous. I was a bit taken aback and I didn't respond.

I think I'm entitled to put whatever I want in my DS's lunchbox (within the rules) and that's what I want to tell her. We're new to the school this year though so I don't want to upset anyone and cause dramas.

We had these in the 90s for our Pringle lunch box needs

you need to buy more over the weekend! let him go in tomorrow with none, child will go home a report there were no pringles she thinks she has won then Monday BOOM there's more pringles 😂

MysteryBelle · 19/01/2023 15:01

Now that she’s ignored your lovely sense of humor in dealing with her rude demand, you’ve got to get more PRINGLES!

Ginseng1 · 19/01/2023 15:06

This is hilarious 🤣 😂

Spring23 · 19/01/2023 15:07

But that makes sense - nobody with a sense of humour or perspective sends snack police messages in the first place

Baconand · 19/01/2023 15:15

Please buy a selection of highly popular snack items that are within the lunchbox rules and flaunt them until at least half term @Pennecrayon
Do your best to make your DC's lunchbox the envy of the classroom.
You could even throw in a fancy new lunchbox to contain said fantasy lunch.

It is your civic duty I feel.

@Kennykenkencat sushi rice (short grain) is expensive

I use long grain

But I am someone who swaps ingredients because I use what is to hand

My mint chocolate chip ice cream when I forgot the mint and went looking around the house for an alternative was interesting.
Mouth wash was minty fresh. It said so on the label🤣🤣🤣

Minty fresh and potentially dangerous to ingest. You should never swallow mouthwash!

I'm very much enjoying the pringle police posts on here

I've been left on read. It wasn't intended to be a snarky response either. Genuinely just a breezy way of saying that I wouldn't be stopping. Sadly the Pringles ran out this morning though.

It's totally petty but I would have absolutely gone out of my way to buy more today.

I could not let Pringzilla win!!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 19/01/2023 16:32

PRINGZILLA!!!!!! 😂😂😂

Love it!

I know. Some have put it so politely but we still know they are feeling superior typing it.

DesertIslandCondiment · 19/01/2023 16:35

I can't believe the pringles have ran out. OP can't you put some equally delicious snack in there to replace the pringles?

TheKeatingFive · 19/01/2023 16:54

I've just realised that what I'm most surprised at is that you still have Pringles left over from Christmas. Or did 😆

They would be loooooong gone in my house.

AnotherNameChangeYes · 19/01/2023 16:59

We also have Pringles left over from Christmas and two tubs of mini cheddars. I apologise for being so slack. Blush

TheKeatingFive · 19/01/2023 17:02

I think I've interpreted the 'once you pop, you can't stop' as an ... order?!? 😬

MissWings · 18/01/2023 11:33

Buy him one of these containers, they’re even more fancy 😜.

These came free with 2 boxes of Pringles years ago. I think my DS was about six - so 11 years ago.

£6.50 each checking the cupboards to see if they are there to flog on eBay 😝

Iseestupidpeople · 19/01/2023 17:50

I’d put in extra to share after this.

squidgybits · 19/01/2023 17:51

If you watch a video of how they are made they would never be in your house never mind a lunch box again

GirlFaeMars · 19/01/2023 17:51

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 18/01/2023 11:11

I'd buy pringles now every shop and include them all the more. Get one of those 90s Pringle tubs off ebay

That was my first thought too!

it’s none of her business what you feed your kid.

Mojoj · 19/01/2023 18:03

I thought this was going to be another one about schools telling parents what to feed their kids but this is even funnier🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mumof32017 · 19/01/2023 18:04

Tell her jog on.

Oh shut up you miserable twit

CatWorm · 19/01/2023 18:06

That’s mental. People are so weird. 😂

cherish123 · 19/01/2023 18:07

What a ridiculously entitled woman! The world doesn't revolve around her or her child. Ignore and continue to give DC Pringles.
