To be depressed and angry that sex offenders will be able to “change gender”

Ramblingnamechanger · 21/12/2022 18:22

Following last nights vote by MSPs to reject an amendment to forbid sex offenders from accessing easier access to a GRC, it seems that womens rights to privacy and decency , same sex care , etc is not important. They are still to vote on the whole bill but until the legalities are clearer, surely this cannot be acceptable?

Oh male rights are preserved all over the place. Fuck female rights though.

Another example is in elite cycling.

Males are allowed to compete in female events because they feel female and their wishes must take precedence over fairness for females.

ExCEPT when it comes to the mixed event where the women members must have been born female because male born women being included would have an unfair advantage and that wouldn't be fair on the male men. You couldn't make it up.

When it's unfair for males their rights are preserved but female fairness is cast aside as irrelevant.

Are you serious? That must be a joke.

Are you serious? That must be a joke.

No, its the same in mixed rowing. Two men and two real women.

Are you serious? That must be a joke.

If you think of this as a Men's Jollies Rights movement in disguise, everything will come sharply into focus.

As the rowing and cycling examples demonstrate - it's a shitshow of epic proportions that showcases male rights While cruelly weaponising children, especially vulnerable girls, many who would be lesbian if left to work through their natural teenage angst. Instead they're subject to a version of conversion therapy by self centred adults / groups determined that they believe they're born in the wrong body - and we all know where that ends up.

Rainbowshit · 22/12/2022 09:14

Here's another example.

Transwoman assaults another male prisoner.

So what do they do? THEY MOVE "HER" TO THE FUCKiNG FEMALE ESTATE!!!!

news.stv.tv/west-central/scottish-prison-service-criticised-for-moving-trans-woman-katie-dolatowski-to-cornton-vale-stirling

Fuck the safety of female prisoners as long as the males are alright.

It's a men's rights movement.

Rainbowshit · 22/12/2022 09:38

I could see this happening in Scotland.

www.nationalreview.com/news/they-failed-at-every-juncture-loudoun-county-mishandled-bathroom-sex-assault-grand-jury-finds/

Officials so keen to cover up evidence of their trans inclusive policy being harmful to females that they allow a rapist to be moved to another school and attack again.

The father of the victim was arrested for objecting to them saying there had been no issues. 🤬🤬

Wibbly1008 · 22/12/2022 09:46

Karen white. Used the system to be moved to a female prison and then attacked the female prisoners. Anyone supporting this cobblers needs to read this.

Here's the text if you can't access the pdf.

III. Event Categories
Starting March 1, 2023, domestic events hosted by USRowing will adopt the following categories for competition. For the sake of clarity, this excludes collegiate events, which are subject to following World Rowing’s policy.

• Women’s Events: Events exclusively for athletes who identify as a woman at the start of the rowing season and/or those who are assigned as female at birth.

• Men’s Events: Events exclusively for athletes who identify as a man at the start of the rowing season and/or those who are assigned as male at birth.

• Mixed Events [masters only]: Boat entries in this category must consist of 50% athletes of any gender and 50% athletes assigned as female at birth.

• Open Gender Event: These events are for athletes of any gender.

Beowulfa · 22/12/2022 10:23

To all those bewildered and depressed by the current shitshow, look up Ash Regan's speech to MSPs yesterday. There are some politicians left with integrity, who'll risk their career in defence of women and children.

The previous posts about primogeniture and mens/womens/mixed rowing make it absolutely crystal clear that the law makers know what a man and a woman is, and who they prioritise. They are actually laughing in our faces. Why aren't more women angry about being trolled like this?

NeighbourhoodWatchPotholeDivision · 22/12/2022 08:33

Looks like it. Here is a trans-id'ing male heir fighting to inherit father's seat in the House of Lords, from earlier this year.

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4553555-first-trans-peer-a-step-closer-as-hereditary-candidate-claims-seat

JFC there is a meme doing the rounds on twitter which points out the patriarchy always wins, they're not wrong are they?

Ramblingnamechanger · 22/12/2022 10:43

Because our objections have been suppressed for years, including posts about safeguarding here on MN. Any posts on AIBU have been shifted to the feminism boards as if this doesn’t affect any of the mothers and women who populate AIBU. This is nearly the first post that has appeared here for any length of time( thank you MNHQ)
we now know that the Scottish Govt has no interest in monitoring how changes in the law will actually affect us, no interest in making basic changes so predatory males are not allowed access to our facilities. Of course this has already happened but now the door is held open even wiser. I will not use female terms for males, I will object every single time I meet a male in womens changing rooms and will do everything I can to protect other women and children.

An MNer on that thread I linked found a parliamentary records of a debate discussing that exact question. I reproduce her hard work here.

Richard Younger-Ross: Therefore, could the Minister confirm that if a male who was in line of succession for a title transgendered to a female, that person would still assume the title? Similarly, if the first-born was female and became male, would they still not assume the title? It strikes me that there is a subtle exemption that runs counter to the purposes of the Bill. If the Bill is intended to allow for no discrimination, should the Government not tackle that?

David Lammy: I should perhaps begin by saying to the hon. Gentleman, well spotted. The matter was debated at length in another place and the answer to his question is yes. The clause mirrors the exception made in the Adoption and Children Act 2002. It recognises the unique nature of peerages, dignity and titles of honour in that they descend according to birth. The terms of descent cannot be changed and the expectations of the persons entitled by birth may be defeated if the acquired gender of a sibling were to count in the way that the hon. Gentleman outlined. He will understand that the community of people with peerages and dignities in this country is small, as is the transsexual community, so I do not expect that this exception, which he dislikes, will frequently occur.

They work for you

Theeyeballsinthesky · 22/12/2022 11:52

Is that David lammy of women are rights hoarding dinosaurs fame who is also confused about which sex has a cervix?

“absence of evidence is not evidence of absence”

Needs a reboot: premeditated concealment of evidence should be a criminal offence

Helen Joyce made a point on this which has stuck in my mind. For adult males to claim that they are literally women, they HAVE to peddle the notion that gender is innate, and in order for that to work, they have to insist that children (including very young children) have an immutable gendered soul which must be affirmed and never questioned.

Just one of the many things that are so messed about all of this. And as with so much else, it’s young females being thrown under the bus to give older males what they want.

WIth many of those older males having had children, and having absolutely no intention of parting with their penis or sex drive thank you very much. And yet they push the agenda that these children will never regret the loss of the capacity to have children, or to experience sexual arousal, or to be an equal participant in a full sexual relationship.

Or that there is any possibly questionable and safeguarding related aspects to aiding a child to grow up in a prepubescent body, without sexual capacity of their own, with questionable impact also on their emotional and psychological development having been denied the maturing process of puberty, while also being legally of age to have sex with.

Anyone with any basic training in safeguarding should be able to forsee where that could go horribly wrong, and wish to protect a child from that future.

And the reason White was in prison in the first place?

Because White self identified into the locked mental health unit of a hospital and multiply raped a woman, leaving her so badly injured she may not be able to have children.

So having committed this appalling crime and injury via self ID? Why yes, White was permitted to self ID directly into a women's prison and crack on with White doing White's thing.

I've been wondering what happens if the two eldest children are male and the eldest identifies as a TW would they retain the right to inherit titles or do the titles pass to the younger brother?

The explanatory notes say:
"This provides an exception to the proposition stated in section 9(1). The descent of any peerage or dignity or title of honour will take place as if a person recognised in the acquired gender were still of the birth gender. The same rule applies to any property that passes with it, unless the will or other instrument governing the property departs from this rule by express provision."

So, no change, as far as inheriting title goes.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/12/2022 15:21

It's also worth emphasising, for those that don't know, that Mumsnet is relentlessly targeted by TRAs (Trans Rights Activists).

They troll, posting extremely provocative threads/messages and screenshot responses to display on Twitter as evidence of MN "transphobia". They constantly monitor posts, reporting anything they can. It must take MNHQ a huge amountnof time to deal with the reports. They target advertisers to scare them off advertising on MN.

This has been going on for years. Despite this, and despite losing revenue because of it, JustineMumsnet and MNHQ have continued to allow discusssions on sex v gender to take place, so long as discussion remains respectful.

Mumsnet is one of the few places where women can discuss these important issues. The TRAs hate Mumsnet.

The Bill has passed. Farewell single sex spaces for women in Scotland

movingonup2022 · 22/12/2022 15:42

YANBU. A huge step backwards for women and girls. Also I heard earlier on the news that men are now allowed to compete in synchronised swimming in the Olympics - which on its own I have no issue with but it seems a great time for men right now and to hell with women and girls.

Lockheart · 22/12/2022 15:56

I was hoping the outcome would be different. Very disappointed to see it has passed.

LaffTaff · 22/12/2022 15:57

YANBU. I wouldn't trust Sturgeon to walk my dog, that one so clearly unhinged is in a position of power says much about the state of politics.
