He broke the covid rules he helped put in place. He cheated on his wife and left his children for the OW. Why the actual fuck are people voting for this Tory to stay?

YY @Gem123J Hancock gaslighted us yet AGAIN when he came out with his "it was just guidelines" on his second day in the jungle

Guidelines? SO WHY WERE PEOPLE FINED then Matt?

Exactly!!

I found a breakdown of what he had said about these “guidelines” on an article (which I have posted a link previously), and he calls them rules at that time! So basically they were rules for us normal folk but simply “guidelines” for him and his Tory friends. Still, how much of an arse are you if you break your own guidelines!

I can sort of understand the first lockdown But the November 2020 one and the subsequent winter one was too much ............oh and tier 4 which was a lockdown in all but name but they didnt want to call it a lockdown so they came up with the ridiculous tiers.

JenniferBooth · 27/11/2022 18:34

We were gaslighted from May 2020 onwards after Cummingsgate.

Withholdingvitalinfo · 27/11/2022 19:00

Loool @ deathly silence re Brexit benefits.

Shock 😂

WheelOfFish · 27/11/2022 19:04

Just goes to show what a bunch of ‘pliable morons’ (to quote Newsthump) a large section of the British public are.

We get the politicians we deserve and the fucking over they invariably give us because a large percentage of the population appear to be total fuckwits with goldfish memories.

If he wins people will go crazy with hate. Fun times

I am hoping he wins just to see the amount of people triggered! Next year I really hope Boris goes in, it would be hysterical

WuTangGran · 27/11/2022 19:26

Here he is

Wibbly1008 · 27/11/2022 19:28

Ed Balls was on strictly after making the country pretty much bankrupt, people still voted and cheered. There is no difference with Matt Hancock going in the jungle.

Tolerating idiots is what is turning this country into the second rate backwater it is rapidly becoming.

JenniferBooth · 27/11/2022 19:41

Wibbly i think Eileen who called LBC about care worker whistle blowers and whats happened to them would respectfully disagree

People wanting him to win so it makes other people annoyed.
Honestly really look at yourself.

Pathetic.

Violashift · 27/11/2022 19:44

This is so sad.

People just can't see it though. The scales will not fall from their eyes.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You're not totally responsible for that.

Readaboutyourself · 26/11/2022 22:39

I couldn’t give a toss. More alarming is the voting off of anyone not white or male 😐

You're ridiculous dear or are you suggesting that not being white should be a free pass?

You're missing the point, he wasn't a Tory so it doesn't count on MN, Stalin would do well on here!

PinkiOcelot · 27/11/2022 09:57

This.

Because he can eat a few bugs or do a few trials on this crap program, he’s a hero. Yay for Matt bloody Hancock!! People have very short memories!

To quote Abe, You can fool some of the people all of the time, politicians are good at it, Blair would have been a shoo in back in the day!

Oh come on, people’s reaction to this is hilarious. All the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Anyone would think it was Hitler in the jungle.

Any idiot can see all these hysterics are politically motivated.

it’s like the nemises of GenZ and the Corbyn harem who never got over not being invited to his lockdown dinner party has hit prime time TV.

it’s absolutely fascinating watching people react to the lack of control over other people.

Had a really shit year and this has brightened it up

Violashift · 27/11/2022 20:51

People died OMG but at least you are entertained eh!

SirMingeALot · 27/11/2022 20:56

It will be interesting to see what Hancock does next. Before all this I actually thought he stood some chance of future office in the Tory party even though the current leadership clearly regard him as a joke, basically because he has a seat that he might still win even in a wipeout and because he's still quite young. But it doesn't look like he's going to be in parliament after the next GE now.

You do realise how the pandemic response was managed was not solely down to him don't you? He just had the misfortune to be the relevant minister in post at the time
