Who is your favourite?

OP posts:
midsomermurderess · 25/11/2022 21:49

Owen. He's a sweetie.

AppleKatie · 25/11/2022 21:50

Jill
mike
seann
owen

matt

in that order 😂

ghostyslovesheets · 25/11/2022 21:51

I really like Owen - he just seems kind, Jill is always happy and Mike is Mike

Sean is an abuser of women and Matt is Matt!

Notaboutthebass · 25/11/2022 21:52

Sean is an abuser?

OP posts:
EmmaC78 · 25/11/2022 21:52

I hope Sean goes home tonight.

ghostyslovesheets · 25/11/2022 21:54

Yes - he emotionally and verbally abused his GF it was all over the press when he snogged his strictly partner and she left him - vile behaviour

Notaboutthebass · 25/11/2022 21:56

Oh well I didn't know that, what a tosser. Makes it a little easier, I don't know still, it's closing soon!

I’d be really disappointed if Jill doesn’t win. She’s happy, kind, brave, funny and just an all round good gal and amazing role model I think. I like Owen a lot too. I’m a bit meh about Mike but I’d much rather him take 3rd place than Sean or bloody Hancock.

Notaboutthebass · 25/11/2022 22:03

Yes Jill is lovely too.

OP posts:
VioletTopaz · 25/11/2022 22:06

Owen/Jill
mike

Seann & Matt bleughhh

Juicesausagecake · 25/11/2022 22:08

Can I ask why Matt Hancock is still in it? Has he been a success?

vincettenoir · 25/11/2022 22:08

Jill to win. Sean and Matt Hancock can do one!

I suspect some Tory computer programme voting for him

He's been pretty humble and 'normal' - as much as you could expect him to be normal.

He's a bit socially awkward and has done well and tried hard to fit in. I think lots of people have been able to separate Matt Hancock the Health Secretary from Matt the campmate.

AppleKatie · 25/11/2022 22:44

The cleverest thing Matt has done is not rise even once when other people were cross with him. He just smiles back and says thanks for telling me.

to some that comes across as humble and redeemable. To me it smacks of complete calculated hypocrisy and game playing.

a human being who is never riled is untrustworthy at a minimum and probably also not listening.

also ‘I just fell in love’ <bashful face> is the single most disgusting and inadequate excuse for humiliating your wife and children in the press and breaking your own lockdown rules as health secretary in the midst of a pandemic. I don’t care that he fell in love with someone else (it happens, it’s not my business) but the fact that as a government minister he couldn’t keep his hands to himself and put ‘new love’ above his own covid regulations is inexcusable.

ArmyofMunn · 25/11/2022 23:40

@AppleKatie I see your point but...I've never wanted to watch the programme in all its 18 years on air until now, precisely because of Matt Hancock.

I'm no Tory but I just can't take my eyes off him. I think it's because, regardless of his morals etc, he's ridiculously bright compared to any other celebrity they've ever had on there, and also he's refreshingly not peddling the pity party that so many others have over the years.

And to me he will always be remembered as one of the four guys behind the lecterns, when we all thought we'd be dead by the he end of the year, who navigated us through the worst of times.

To me he's just horribly fascinating - I so want him to be 'good' but I sadly suspect he's just rampantly ambitious, but I'll still keep voting for him!

Rushingfool · 25/11/2022 23:51

I don't understand who's voting for Mike - to me he's just boring. And slightly cringeworthy but I can't quite explain why.

threecupsofteaminimum · 26/11/2022 00:04

Jill has to win. I stopped watching after the 3rd episode but surely she has to claim victory this year.

FlirtyMelons · 26/11/2022 00:10

I don't understand how people are fine with Mike after his drink driving convictions but not ok with Seann or Matt?

AppleKatie · 26/11/2022 00:10

@ArmyofMunn and I take your point he is watchable and he is much brighter than the avg contestant.

I haven’t voted for him but I have enjoyed watching him (notwithstanding my belief that he should be doing his day job not pissing about in the jungle).

still he doesn’t have to win.

I hope people are voting at this point because seeing him do cyclone will be funny, but after that drop him like a stone.

asblindasabat · 26/11/2022 00:11

I haven’t had time to watch this series since the first week.

Can anyone fill me in on the goss please? Why did everyone seem overjoyed when Charlene, Sue and BG leave? I know the history surrounding BG but what was he like in camp? Also heard people weren’t too keen on Chris?

I’ve just googled Mikes drink driving, while obviously abhorrent behaviour, it appears to have been a one off, (still drunk from the night before) nobody was hurt and a significant length of time has passed.

the same cannot be said for MHs actions.

Re Seann, whilst I wouldn’t condone humiliating his GF by having an affair either the ‘abuse’ he admitted to and took responsibility for also doesn’t compare to MHs behaviour. Obviously we don’t know the whole story and he may have behaved more badly than we know, but his justifications and apologies appear much more sincere than MHs.

PurpleButterflyWings · 26/11/2022 00:25

Matt.

PurpleButterflyWings · 26/11/2022 00:26

MATT!
