All the offal being used on IACGMOOH is obscene and disrespectful to animals.

Just that really. Why the hell are they throwing dead animals remains around every night as entertainment? It's very poor taste and totally vile. Use rotten veg or stinking slime or whatever, but those animals did not die to have their remains thrown about like it's a joke. I find it obscene.

Kanaloa · 22/11/2022 21:33

Why did those animals die? For you to eat them instead?

Honestly I think (despite being a vegetarian myself) this is a non issue. People eat meat. That’s just how it is. And when it comes to ‘celeb’ culture and reality TV, I must say I feel more concerned about what it does/can do to people than how it uses meat.

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 21:36

I'm a vegetarian but au think killing animals right eat is one thing. Killing them ti chuck at some daft celebrities is something else. There is no need. There could use plenty of other gross things.

OP posts:
RaininSummer · 22/11/2022 21:37

That does sound both disgusting and disrespectful to the poor animals.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 22/11/2022 21:38

I doubt very much they killed the animals just to use the offal for the trial

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 21:42

There is still no need

OP posts:
treesandweeds · 22/11/2022 21:43

They would have got it from abattoirs or meat suppliers, not killed animals just for this. Have some common sense!

AriettyHomily · 22/11/2022 21:43

Where would the offal go otherwise?

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 21:45

I know they got it from abattoirs. Some people are so mindless though and have no respect.

OP posts:
ChickinMarango · 22/11/2022 21:46

It’s a bi-product of consumption, better it’s not wasted 😆

PurpleButterflyWings · 22/11/2022 21:47

I do agree @acatwhisperer It's utterly grim. I have to look away when I see these scenes.

Rogue1001MNer · 22/11/2022 21:48

Risslan · 22/11/2022 21:51

I think it is disrespectful to kill an animal and then not use as much of it as you can.

It's an unusual use of bits that aren't eaten but it's a use.

MorningMeditation · 22/11/2022 21:52

As a vegan, I don’t like it either OP. Its in very bad taste. They used to eat live bugs in the eating tasks. Wtf?

But the whole show is disgusting. A lot of criminals and shitty people amongst the presenters and ‘celebs’ with fading careers.

GettinHyggeWithIt · 22/11/2022 21:55

I don’t watch it but am aware of stuff they have to eat. Why can’t they make them eat weird combos and more regular food - like I dunno a spoon of Nutella, pate and a raw egg? Sure someone more creative can thing of things that curdle or are disgusting.

I mean I'm sure it tastes bad, but bad taste? It's surely more in bad taste to not use as much of a killed animal as possible?

Dropping it on a load of twats for a tv show is not really making great use of it.

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 22:03

I'm not bothered that it tastes bad fir them! I'm talking about showers of offal falling on them. It's obscene. Rooms full of offal on challenges.

While I'm at it, I'm not sure they should be putting live rats squashed in drawers. Or crocodiles in confined dark spaces with screaming celebrities..

Keyansier · 22/11/2022 22:04

I feel like you are trying to be a bit of an attention seeker tbh OP. This show has been on for two decades now, they eat dead animals, and get dead animals fannies and arseholes and the rest of their remains dumped on them whilst buried in underground coffin-like structures, and what doesn't get dumped they have to eat, everyone knows this by now, surely. We don't need your services as a human megaphone informing people that water is wet, thank you.

MysweetAudrina · 22/11/2022 22:04

I agree and think it is really offal.

I agree completely OP. The animals must be scared in some situations. Some of the live spiders and other creatures must get trodden on as well... all in the name of ‘fun’. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Lots of animal rights groups are against it but it seems popular with many people.

HuntingHappiness · 22/11/2022 22:07

I’m more bothered by the treatment of the live creatures tbh.

She's in good company. PETA and the RSPCA have objected strongly.

Surely its better to give it some use even if it is a "waste" and thrown awag rather than just throwing it straight away.

LlareggubTripAdviser · 22/11/2022 22:07

If you eat meat then it makes no
Odds. The animal has been killed for food. Wether that's a steak in a posh restaurant or it's bollocks in a sad TV program. - none is more or less 'respectful' of the animal.

It's not like you have a slice of roast beef and leave the cow running round the field with a bandage on it's arse !

Have a similar weird conversation if I order liver and bacon .. 'eughhh how can you eat an animals liver ? ' it's a ridiculous question if about the 'moral right or wrong' (completely accept that the taste isn't for everyone).. but Offal used to be very common in this country . It's as though having a clean piece of meat allows people to disassociate it from a previous living breathing animal.

If anything. Once you have killed something for food - I would say it's hugely disrespectful NOT to eat it.

CakeCrumbs44 · 22/11/2022 22:08

I hadn't really thought about it (haven't watched the show in years) but I do agree. I'm not a vegetarian or anything, and if they were giving them offal to use as actual meals for nutrition I would have no issue but just using them to laugh at does seem a bit off.

I used to teach science and we used to do dissections of eyes, hearts etc. Bits that probably wouldn't be eaten. We always used to chat to the kids first about respecting that this was a living thing - basically don't throw the eyeballs at each other or joke around with them. This reminds of that.
