All the offal being used on IACGMOOH is obscene and disrespectful to animals.

Just that really. Why the hell are they throwing dead animals remains around every night as entertainment? It's very poor taste and totally vile. Use rotten veg or stinking slime or whatever, but those animals did not die to have their remains thrown about like it's a joke. I find it obscene.

I just think tipping tonnes of dead meat as part of a game is diabolical.

People are starving

Surely food is food and waste is waste?

They're not likely to tip live meat over them are they. Think of the health and safety implications of a live kangaroo to the head.

Where would the offal go otherwise?

Pet food probably - or into sausages, burgers and chicken nuggets.

I agree with you OP, can't see why anyone would disagree. It's grim but then I don't see animals as lesser than human beings, whereas some people stistill do and they have that disconnect.

I agree with this but I’m also vegan, I don’t think posters can get in a flap about it if they also unnecessarily eat dead animals (and yes it is unnecessary, we are not living in tribes hunting to eat).

I think I just don't understand why something so disgusting is part of a challenge in 'the jungle'. Why not set challenges that are relevant. It's slightly weird tk think jungle life includes crawling through loads of animal guts.

Dashel · 23/11/2022 08:02

I think the whole use of animals in this show is disgusting. Seeing how the live animals are treated is cruel and I wonder how many insects are deliberately harmed in each of the challenges and then what happens to them afterwards? How many of the larger animals are also squashed or end up attacking each other due to stress? Both PETA and the RSPCA have complained about the treatment of animals on the show.

silverclock222 · 23/11/2022 08:05

I do wonder at the intelligence of the people who watch these kind of things in the first place.....

Dog food. Not raw of course.

HuntingHappiness · 23/11/2022 13:26

@Kanaloa I don’t think it’s okay to kill animals to eat, I’m vegetarian, but I accept that some people do eat meat and that the offal will be a byproduct of that. The treatment of live creatures on the show -which I haven’t watched for many years but do know it still goes on-is pure cruelty. Me not watching it doesn’t change their fate.

I feel the exact same way. The eating of offal during challenges doesn't bother me so much as the terrible treatment of live animals and insects. I don't know how they can still get away with it!

Spookypig · 23/11/2022 13:46

Oh for goodness sake. Animals have no concept or respect or lack thereof. It makes no different and is not a big deal at all. If anything, surely it’s better than all of the animal parts are used for something than just dumped?

Yes? You’ve basically agreed with what I’ve said.

And of course you personally not watching doesn’t stop or change anything, what I was saying is that the death of celeb reality television is a necessity.
