All the offal being used on IACGMOOH is obscene and disrespectful to animals.

Just that really. Why the hell are they throwing dead animals remains around every night as entertainment? It's very poor taste and totally vile. Use rotten veg or stinking slime or whatever, but those animals did not die to have their remains thrown about like it's a joke. I find it obscene.

I feel like you are trying to be a bit of an attention seeker tbh OP. This show has been on for two decades now, they eat dead animals, and get dead animals fannies and arseholes and the rest of their remains dumped on them whilst buried in underground coffin-like structures, and what doesn't get dumped they have to eat, everyone knows this by now, surely. We don't need your services as a human megaphone informing people that water is wet, thank you.

It’s been talked about in other years to be fair, there was a lot of disgust when they used to eat live creatures in the eating trials. You don’t have to join threads if you’re not interested.

She's in good company. PETA and the RSPCA have objected strongly.

Tbf I kinda get the point about the live animals being used in trials but arent PETA a bit crazy with some of their stuff?

I agree and think it is really offal.

😂

Oh, well, hold the presses, the cavalries have arrived Hmm

...TBF the RSPCA still has a level of credibility but does anyone sane really think the sentence "PETA have objected strongly" holds any sort of credibility or instils any sort of threat these days amongst intelligent people? 😂

HuntingHappiness · 22/11/2022 22:07

I’m more bothered by the treatment of the live creatures tbh.

Yeah there’s this. I didn’t realise live creatures were used, I’ve never actually seen it. But I still don’t see how you can think it’s ok to kill animals to eat but not ok to do it on TV.

Either way don’t watch it. I think what this celeb reality nonsense needs is a purge - eventually people will stop watching then they won’t have an audience any more.

PETA do some good, but yes they’ve done a lot wrong imo. That doesn’t mean they’re wrong to campaign against the show though in this case. Lots of animal rights groups, not just the RSPCA and PETA are against things in this show.

RaininSummer · 22/11/2022 22:13

I've never watched the horrible programme so it was news to me.thabk you for posting about it OP. To be honest I would prefer the offal to be binned than lobbed about at so called 'celebrity' wankers.

OneFrenchEgg · 22/11/2022 22:14

I think it's bizarre that anyone would go on a show and eat raw kangaroo bollocks or crawl though (and crush) insects - as I've posted numerous times I remember laughing at Clive James showing clips of Endurance.
I genuinely don't understand how desperate for attention someone must be to do it. It's horrible and I dislike using flesh and animals for entertainment in this way, where there is a risk (to living creatures obviously) to there well-being.
And yes I'm a vegan, I'm trying not to be a hypocrite.

AriettyHomily · 22/11/2022 21:43

Where would the offal go otherwise?

The food chain, or if not fit for human consumption or inclusion in pet food, probably fertiliser.

Oh wind in your pomposity 🙄

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2022 22:15

Looking at the stuff coming out of those buckets I don’t think you’d be wanting it in a pie.
People disgusted by that show still seem to watch and know an awful lot about it. 🤔

I know because I campaign against it. And I read about it on here and in the news.

dandelionthistle · 22/11/2022 22:21

I also dislike it. It's easy to glibly say that the animal is now dead and whatever happens thereafter is an irrelevance, but actually - look at how widespread (universal?) taboos around defiling human remains have been. Look at the various traditions of giving thanks for food, of sacrificing animals in specific and ritualistic ways. I think it's facile to pretend the way we treat a dead creature is neither here nor there, and not something we should quibble over. I think much of the supposed 'entertainment' value derives specifically from violating these (natural?) taboos. It is grotesque.

I dislike the way live animals are treated on the show too.

And i don't eat meat or dairy, and I try to avoid creating too much waste, so while I'm a long way from perfect I'm not too bothered by the whataboutery on this thread.

TheGellerYeller · 22/11/2022 22:49

I agree OP. It’s horrible and unnecessary.

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 22:49

I think even Ant and Dec looked ashamed when they gave one of them a pigs penis to eat and they had tied it in a design and someone said something like "the poor pig you killed it and tied it's penis like that for a show."

OP posts:
Unwellchild325 · 22/11/2022 22:51

I don't have a problem with it. Offal is a by-product and probably not something that sells in the quantities that is produced. It's this or it gets turned to waste.

Houseplantmad · 22/11/2022 22:52

I’m a meat eater and I think it’s absolutely gross what I’ve been seeing on TV. How can that be entertainment? It’s revolting and is really being overused in each episode.

Unwellchild325 · 22/11/2022 22:54

Is it just the animal entrails that people are objecting to or the fish ones too?

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 22:57

Both

OP posts:
Unwellchild325 · 22/11/2022 22:58

So what do you propose is a better alternative for the fish guts?

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 23:03

Fu people have no respect for the dead animal and the planet. So much meat overproduction and intensive meat farming and this "entertainment" is beyond inane. It's disgraceful. People are starving in many parts of the and ITV are pouring tonnes of raw meat over people every evening. Literally swimming in it. It's obscene..

OP posts:
Unwellchild325 · 22/11/2022 23:05

But the animals are being slaughtered and the fish caught for food anyway. The entrails are by-products of this industry and would otherwise be waste products.

Unwellchild325 · 22/11/2022 23:05

If food waste is your concern what about the rotten fruit and vegetables tipped onto Boy George?

acatwhisperer · 22/11/2022 23:06

They gave Boy George plant based stuff, I think? So just do that - vomit fruit, rotten veg, fermented stuff, whatever
