I really struggle to see any positives! We've been living in austerity for years and still don't have any money! WTF have they done with all the money and how they hell have they been allowed to run this country into the ground? They complain they don't want unskilled migrants coming into the country but a bunch of unskilled, self serving politicians have been allowed to cause misery for millions over the past decade. Depressing! Please tell me they won't survive another GE.

I know!!!! An NHS on its knees, schools falling to pieces, no dentistry, GP appointments like gold dust, broken mental health support system for children and adults, less opportunities for youngsters thanks to Brexit, global isolation, xenophobia, youngsters with zero chance of being home owners and increased struggles to rent, greedy landlords leaving people in squalor, eye watering student debt, cruelty towards the most vulnerable, zero responsibility re global warming and the environment, zero kindness….it’s just endless.

Don’t we want a better country than this for our children ?

BiggerBoat1 · 03/11/2022 18:07

They have dismantled the welfare state and eroded the public's faith in politicians. No positives that I'm aware of.

LizzieSiddal · 03/11/2022 18:08

Brexit of course! We control our borders, the NHS has an extra £350m a week, our food is cheaper, there’s NO red tape, all the fish around the Uk is fished only by British fishermen ….

ghostyslovesheets · 03/11/2022 18:10

Yeah they dot Brexit done innit and it's been a huge economic success - look at our economy - we are booming

BiggerBoat1 · 03/11/2022 18:11

Oh yes good point @LizzieSiddal. Thank goodness we took back control! 😆

AuntieDickhead · 03/11/2022 18:11

They "got Brexit done" according to my family. None of them can tell me what that actually means or why it's a good thing though.

User135644 · 03/11/2022 18:13

They squandered the Marshall Plan dosh from the 50s, wasted the one off gift of north sea oil money in the 80s and have basically dismantled everything in the last 12 years.

User135644 · 03/11/2022 18:14

The Tories are wreckers, it's what they do, they're only there to ensure the rich get richer. And they usually always count on the good old forelock tugging English to vote them in to wreck the place.

KalvinPhillipsBoots · 03/11/2022 18:16

Intentionally brought it to its knees, lied and lied over and over, made lots of money from a fake pandemic and continue to do so.?

All part of the WEF plans. The lot of them should be locked up for a very very long time

Mojoj · 03/11/2022 18:16

Maybe if you all stopped voting Tory, we wouldn't be in this mess.

socialmedia23 · 03/11/2022 18:18

They got us out of the Eu so the population can no longer blame the EU for the many problems. We have now switched to blaming Putin. The guy is evil but the fact that you can only get GP appointments privately isn't because of him.

I voted Remain btw.

“all part of the WEF plans”

jesus christ

Whizzi24 · 03/11/2022 18:21

Erm, way back in the Cameron days there was same sex marriage legislation. Think that's all they've got to show for the duration of their governance.

Newnameoclock · 03/11/2022 18:23

The only one I can think of is bereaved parents leave, and I only know about that because it affected a friend of mine

They "got Brexit done" in the same way crashing a car into a tree is parking it.

supertato32 · 03/11/2022 18:27

Thank you for all the replies! I'm glad I'm not the only one who think it's a shit show!

We are meant to be the 6th richest economy in the world and the place is literally on its knees.

They then are so vile, they fan the flames of the immigration argument and get the Daily Mail brigade to blame all the problems on the country on the desperate, illegal immigrants rather than the vile Tory boys and girls in parliament! I wish I could move to Europe, but oh wait Brexit put an end to that!

@socialmedia23 we now blame illegal immigrants for everything too!

'6th richest economy' is misleading. Most of that is down to London (as it's the only place they ever invest in), the rest of the country is about as wealthy as a lower ranking European nation and nowhere near top 6.

Blossomtoes · 03/11/2022 18:52

They’ve been an unmitigated disaster. I struggle to find any positives apart from same sex marriage.

onmywayamarillo · 03/11/2022 18:58

The Elizabeth line, which was implemented and started by a Labour government and was Crossrail 😬

CaronPoivre · 03/11/2022 19:00

Yet people vote for them. I can’t see how, but they do.

onmywayamarillo · 03/11/2022 19:00

They've created thousands of food banks through the initiative of community projects and peoples kindness!
They also closed all the sure start centres too

Bramblejoos · 03/11/2022 19:08

They've been in power about as long as the SNP in Scotland - and I can't think of anything that's improved there either.

pompei8309 · 03/11/2022 19:09

About as much as Labour did under Blair and Brown
