It has disappeared completely, not fallen down the back of cupboards it is absolutely nowhere to be found, I use it all the time how can it just vanish? No one has used it to kill spiders bang nails in or anything it is just gone. Where can it be?

One of my foster dogs thought my rolling pin was a really good stick and stole it. Found her burying it at the bottom of the garden 🤣 Any chance of similar thievery?

Poppins2016 · 05/10/2022 01:55

I'd check the back of the cupboards again just to make sure.

My rolling pin lives in a drawer and often falls out and into the drawer below.

Could it have been put away in an 'odd but logical' place? With the baking ingredients/cake tins/scales/cookery books/etc? My husband often hides my (so called) random baking stuff under ingredients...

Do you have a daughter doing ballet? In my time, before the trigger points rolls existed, rolling pins were the go-to to work on tight muscles. If she has an old school ballet teacher, go and have a look under her bed

I had this over lockdown. Looked everywhere as you do. Bought a new one , then the old one seemingly appears from nowhere

BMW6 · 05/10/2022 05:51

It's in the same place as my tongs

Oblomov22 · 05/10/2022 05:52

Hope you find it. I don't even have one.

Greybutterfly · 05/10/2022 05:54

Just use a wine bottle

ApolloandDaphne · 05/10/2022 05:54

It's in your freezer. You left it there after bashing ice for your G&T.

Chesterfieldfire · 05/10/2022 05:57

Elves nicked it.

FangsForTheMemory · 05/10/2022 06:27

Did you put it in the oven to dry off?

Swimbikerun · 05/10/2022 06:31

It’s fallen into the box with your tin foil or clingfilm?

usernamenotaccepted · 05/10/2022 06:36

It's with my cheese grater.

Whataretheodds · 05/10/2022 06:37

In the drawer with foil and cling film?

Beautifulsunflowers · 05/10/2022 06:52

In the dishwasher
on top of the microwave
behind the chopping boards

MustBeThursday · 05/10/2022 06:54

Mine lives in the drawer with the chopping boards and graters, but occasionally disappears into the toy kitchen (along with the oven gloves and any spatulas left in reaching distance)

PortiasBiscuit · 05/10/2022 06:57

Has anyone in your immediate vicinity been a victim of recent blunt force trauma?
Call the police!

Ah, but where??😅

OP, have you a child interested in collecting random stuff? I have lost some very weird items in this way. Or occasionally DS1 would just take an interest in something and put it down the back of the radiator or under a cushion when he was finished with it. He's thankfully grown out of this now.

Noiamnotshe · 05/10/2022 10:17

I will let you know!

Under the sofa cushions.

Flighttodayplease · 05/10/2022 10:41

Mine is normally with the toy kitchen or in the arts and craft drawer also near the toy kitchen...
Good luck!

Mentalpiece · 05/10/2022 10:47

Could it have fallen down the back of the drawer onto the floor?
Mine once made a bid for freedom by doing that. We discovered it years later when we pulled the plinth off to replace the flooring.

BamBamBilla · 05/10/2022 10:52

I haven't got one, I use a wine bottle - I always have one of those.

girlmom21 · 05/10/2022 10:53

It's in the cupboard by the flour from the time you were going to make cakes then the doorbell went and you got distracted.

EatYourVegetables · 05/10/2022 10:55

Same place as my kids school jumpers. I swear they had 3 (DS6) and 5 (DD4) of them, now a month into the term they’re down to 2 each and a panic on Wednesday morning, resulting in me WFH so I can do a wash.

Apparently DH, DS and DD have never seen them. All three of them take clothes off in random locations and just leave them there inside out. But it’s my fault they have no jumpers. I even have receipts to prove they had 8 a month ago.

I also wish I could sit down anywhere in the house without landing on someone’s dirty sock.

mogtheexcellent · 05/10/2022 10:56

My kitchen scales disappeared 6 months ago. I finally had to buy new ones to make DDs birthday cake. I found them this weekend in a bag of DDs clothes in the spare bedroom wardrobe.

So try the wardrobes.
