It's certainly starting to ramp up from all sides isn't it?
Between the DoJ 'letter of intent' to Doofus' legal team to the Trump appointed judges' apparent hemming and hawing to the GA potential indictment (am I missing anything new?) I can't seem to keep on top of things! To tell the truth, it's actually becoming frightening to me, the twists and turns in all the legal stuff going on. I guess it's the fear of all his dirt being dragged into the light and ultimately nothing sticking.
Also frightening is the GOP demanding a 'loyalty pledge' from candidates vowing to support and vote for 'whichever candidate gets the nomination'. And now there is are conservative groups proposing to 'consolidate all govt powers in the person of the President'. In other words, a legal dictatorship.

On other fronts....the AGs of TN, KY, IA, and one other state I can't remember are now requesting/subpoenaing out of state medical records to find women who have gone to other states to obtain abortions. I'm not sure if it's by name (how would they know?) or if they're simply requesting all records of any woman who provided an address in TN, KY, etc. This is a clear violation of HIPAA and laws governing medical consent. Not to mention the laws surrounding 'probable cause'. Now THIS is a real 'witch hunt' if there ever was one!
When I first heard this (on Rachel Maddow) I thought "Wow, I'm glad I'm post-menopausal and in a Blue state!". But then it occurred to me if they are doing a 'document sweep' how many post menopausal women in those states may end up having their private medical records subpoenaed & scrutinized simply because they sought medical treatment in a neighbouring state. Treatment having nothing to do with abortions or reproductive medicine of any kind.
Like I say, it's getting frightening.
