He's 17 - we just spent a day in Paris. Did the usual tourist sights. But there was one thing he saw that fascinated him and he couldn't stop talking about it.

Was it one of those open toilet thingies? Pissoirs I believe

McDonalds? I've heard they sell booze in the Maccyds in France.

Smoking rather than eating??

Our interactions were very friendly - especially when our ticket wouldn't work in the station exit gate

That they take a long time to eat and actually stop to interact during a meal. No phones to distract.
