What’s wrong with a loo brush?

Inspired by the MN sins thread. So many people are saying their loo brush is their greatest MN sin. As a fellow sinner, I need to know what’s wrong with a loo brush?

after used i pour more bleach on it and press flush and let the clean water run over it. I needs to know

Bleach and biodegradable wipes here. As others said, hate the idea of a poo covered brush.

There are no biodegradable wipes. Nothing like that should go down the loo.

I have a toilet duck thing (might be the same as the duck fresh pp mentioned). It's a plastic stick with a clamp at one end for paper pads predosed with cleaner. Scrub the loo, pad goes in the bin, there's usually something in there to wrap it in. I'm curious about these silicone brushes now though.

Yeah that's what I use but the paper pad actually just flushed down the loo. Clearly MN have never used one before as it would put an end to this argument...

Doesn't sound great environmentally compared to a brush, so no

I've got a silicone one now. Game changer!

I cant believe people would rather stick their hand down the loo and scrub off someone else’s shit stains than have a bleached, washed toilet brush in the bathroom!

Same. I genuinely don’t understand it. As a lot of other posters mentioned, what happens when you have guests? Are they just meant to hold it? Can they use the toilet but clean up by putting their hands in the toilet or worse, saving it for you to clean up? Come on now

Fwiw. Tkmaxx had the Joseph and Joseph silicone brush ones on the shelving today. 😉

@ChobKnees I don't flush the pad, or use them that often, I don't live in a hard water area. So loo rarely needs a good clean inside the bowl. Usually just wrap bog roll round the end for, ahem, marks, which I can flush.
