One of the girls I work with recently slept with a man. He was married, on a dating site. She didn't know he was married until they finished and he asked her to keep quiet. He told her he loved his wife but sex with her is boring "same shit different day".... his wife has no idea but he does this a lot.

My colleague is a sweet girl who is single and horrified at the idea this man is married.

That's not really the point. Wife is probably not interested in cleaning, mental load, kids, him! If sex is shit, he needs to put effort in, into all aspects, but it's not about the 'boring sex', it's about men being so fucking lazy and vile, that they'd rather put effort into finding a novelty, pixie dream girl, that will listen to their horseshit with fresh, unbiased ears, massage their giant ego and potentially indulge their sub standard bedroom skills before moving on to the next target.

Peter is right, or partly right at least. There is a "top xx%" of men cleaning up. Height alone can be a major disadvantage. Men under 6 foot tall are generally unlikely to be chosen. That's before all of the other blurb. Now of course not the women of Mumsnet who would never do such a thing as discriminate based on height, and there's definitely not threads like 'AIBU in refusing to date short men'. A couple of recent podcasts from Triggernometry had experts on discussing dating apps, sex culture and incels. The data from studies was discussed at length.

This is an observation bias sort of issue. I hope. Obviously all the decent men who are doing their share of the dishes, and learning more about their wife so that sex continues to improve, are not signing up to dating sites to cheat on their wife. Where would they find the time?!?

Also all the decent single men on dating sites will, at some point, become decent coupled men, or give up, so won't be on dating sites indefinitely. Whereas, your cheating scumbag man will be on dating sites continually, being a scumbag over and over again.

It's like, everyone in the neighborhood has to walk past the dogshit left by the one dog walker who couldn't be arsed to clean up after their dog, but you don't see the dozens of dog walkers who did clean up after their dogs. So you're left fuming, "why don't dog walkers clean up their shit!?!" The scumbags on dating sites are that abandoned turd, and you just don't notice the decent men.
