Evian is the best bottled water

Everyone I know disagrees but Evian water just tastes different and better to water from other brands and tap water. It’s just the best isn’t it?! Will drink tap water and other brands of bottled water but don’t like them as much

It tastes too "soft" for me. I prefer a more minerally water.

My favourite is Watsons with the green lid, but you can't get it in England.

LoveMeForARaisin · 12/08/2022 12:38

Evian is ‘naive’ spelled backwards.

just saying.

YABU. I’d rather go thirsty than drink Evian. Really don’t like it.

heidbuttsupper · 12/08/2022 12:42

I love Smart Water

MollyRover · 12/08/2022 12:43

I assumed all bottled waters tasted the same until I tried Evian. Yuck!! 🤢

Icanstillrecallourlastsummer · 12/08/2022 13:00

Buying bottled water - except when needed while out and about - should be illegal. The amount of plastic bottles generated (and contirbuting to plastic pollution) is replusive. I can't help but look down on people who buy bottled water to drink at home.

WrinklesShminkles · 12/08/2022 13:00

Yorkshire Water from the tap is unbeatable, but sadly exclusive (and increasingly out of stock).

Good to know in a drought where Evian is the only potable water available, we can push you out of the queue.

I recycle my bottles and Evian bottles are made from fully recycled plastic?

You only have to look around to see not everyone does the same as you OP.

ShitPuffin · 12/08/2022 13:14

Totally agree. Evian is my absolute favourite.

parietal · 12/08/2022 13:16

why on earth would you spend money on bottled water when there is perfectly good water coming out of the tap.

even if the bottles are recycled, there are big environmental costs involved in

  • extracting water from the ground (in a drought)

  • transporting it from france to the shops

  • dealing with the waste plastic afterwards (it is not always actually recycled properly)

buy yourself a regular reusable water bottle and fill it from the tap.

Buxton Sparkling. Accept no imitations. No other sparkling water tastes as good.

I don't work for Buxton.

That’s ok. I’ll drink wine instead.

gotelltheoldmandowntheroad · 12/08/2022 13:17

Saw a video where a guy tested the pH balance in them all with strips. Fiji was best, Smart next.

Bringon2023 · 12/08/2022 13:18

@Icanstillrecallourlastsummer I agree. I can't remember the last time I bought a bottle of water (actually I did last week but it was an aluminium bottle). Even when out and about I take a bottle of tap water with me from home in a refillable bottle, it's just habit now. And once when I was out and forget my bottle of water I just went into a cafe and asked for glass of tap water - for free!

ClinkeyMonkey · 12/08/2022 13:23

I find Evian has this weird 'thick' texture. In reality it's probably soft, but thick describes it for me! I don't notice it with any other bottled water. Not that I drink it much - I drink filtered tap water, but do keep some bottled water in the boot of the car for emergencies.
