If any of you, my newly discovered tribe, also love a crap shark book - The Meg is based on an entire series by Steve Alten. Addictively ridiculous.

Eaumyword · 14/10/2022 21:01

How very dare you say they are ridiculous 😂😂
I have that book...and cross matched it against The Meg film. I'm such a nerd!

CathyorClaire · 14/10/2022 21:10

Has nobody mentioned the the ummmm...masterpiece that is Noah's Shark?!

I now need to see this but it's £20 with a 3* review on Amazon

I love a shark

Posted too soon 😡

I love a shark but it needs to be a budget shark #tight

I love a shark

It has 1.6/10 on IMDB. Grin Based on that, and the synopsis, I 100% need to watch it.

burnoutbabe · 14/10/2022 21:32

I remember " beneath " which was a monster in a lake and omg were the teenagers in that stupid!

Eaumyword · 14/10/2022 21:56

Couldn't finish Beneath and I have pretty low standards 😂

I've read them about three times each, whenever I need cheering up and can't cope with a new plot. It's said with love 😁

Eaumyword · 14/10/2022 22:07

I know! I'm excited to be among fellow shark and creature feature folks 💕

I love shark films. But not as much as dinosaur films… 🦖

YES!

Largethighsbadeyes · 14/10/2022 22:33

I like any films about animals killing humans, which is odd as I love animals.

Shark films already mentioned.
Croc films etc

But if you like the whole maneater thing there's also The Grey, The pack, The ghost and the darkness, black mountain....so many! I think I need a re watch of all these this weekend 🤔

Binkybix · 15/10/2022 01:31

It’s a bit outside the classic genre, but I enjoyed Rampage and the fact that the Rock (live Dwayne J) made them change the ending

bringincrazyback · 15/10/2022 01:36

saw the OP’s headline and instantly thought of the scene in Friends - Chandler watches shark 🦈 porn 😂👍

Me too 😂😂😂

onwardandupwards · 15/10/2022 01:41

I love jaws so much I named my ds after a character from the film!

Momtotwokids · 15/10/2022 01:43

Deep blue sea and I don't know the name of one where the shark has octopus arms. Loved that.

YY to all of those!

I too have found my people 😄 I think I've seen every film mentioned on this thread, most more than once, and in the case of Jaws, Deep Blue Sea and Lake Placid, about 20 times each. Love The Shallows, The Reef, The Meg, Rogue, Black Water, Crawl etc. plus all the terrible ones like Sharknado and Bait.

On a non-shark/croc theme, Backcountry, Into the Grizzly Maze, The Edge, The Grey, The Pack, The Ghost and the Darkness and Frozen - not the Disney one, it features a stationary ski lift and a pack of wolves - are all definitely worth a watch!

toulet · 15/10/2022 07:01

yes, I love all killer animals, Saw the lion one with Idris recently which was pretty fun.

onwardandupwards · 15/10/2022 09:12

Snakes on a plane? So bad its good

Itsmeeloise · 15/10/2022 09:29

I saw Jaws in 3d at the local indy cinema a few weeks ago. It was amazing. Highly recommend.

(.. can I also give an honourable mention to Snakes on a Plane)

CathyorClaire · 15/10/2022 11:13

dinosaur films

Oh, yes. And wolves.

'Frozen' (not the kiddie one) where the protagonists drop off a broken down ski-lift one by one is a pretty awesome example.

CathyorClaire · 15/10/2022 11:14

And another vote for 'Snakes on a Plane'

Vetoncall · 15/10/2022 20:26

Snakes on a Plane is amazing. 'I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!' 😄

Binkybix · 18/10/2022 05:23

I loved snakes on a plane too. Although as someone who is scared of snakes AND flying it was on the edge for me! 😀

I really want to watch Frozen but can’t find it streaming anywhere!

i still massively regret that on mine and DH’s first date I picked Blair Witch over Deep Blue Sea at the cinema - so never got to watch that one on the big screen 😭

The Shallows is the best for me
