Put your hand up in the air like you're asking a question.

Bend only your little finger.

YANBU - My ring finger goes down with it. Those guys do everything together. It's not my decision. PS this thread is pointless shit and you just wasted 2 minutes of my Sunday.

YABU - pinky is doing his own thing, the others are still standing to attention. PS this thread is pointless shit and you just wasted 2 minutes of my Sunday.

Well I can’t vote because on one hand the ring finger does also bend, but on the other hand it doesn’t.

HeyHeyer · 10/07/2022 18:02

😂

Mine ring finger wants to go but I can keep it to a small twitch if I concentrate. And that was 2 minutes well-spent, so I can't really vote.

LittlestBaoBun · 10/07/2022 18:03

I can make the right pinky go alone but the ring finger twitches. Left pinky takes left ring finger with it. Voted yanbu because of the left ones.

Same here, I can keep righty moving alone with just a minor twitch, lefty wants constant company!

ImHavingAnOldFriendForDinner · 10/07/2022 18:08

My pinky goes down alone, if I do it fast then ring finger twitches but if I do it slowly ring finger doesn't move!

Christ I must be bored 😂

Mine’s totally opposite to this. Also voted YANBU.

IncompleteSenten · 10/07/2022 18:10

This is the bending I mean. Not my hand.
Apparently the ring finger is the hardest to move on its on but mine are fine. It's the pinky that seems to need an emotional support finger.

I have to really focus but I can move both of mine by themselves. My ring finger too.

Somethingsnappy · 10/07/2022 18:13

I'm with you. My pinky can't do it alone.
This thread is cracking me up by the way. . 😂

Ponderingwindow · 10/07/2022 18:14

I voted after only checking one hand, where they were independent. Turns out in my dominant hand they are linked.

DelurkingAJ · 10/07/2022 18:19

I can do all fingers independently on both hands. I spent many childhood years playing flute (not well at all) and I wonder if that gives me more control?!

FredGarland · 10/07/2022 18:20

Can't on my right hand (I'm right-handed, in case that makes a difference)
Can on my left, with a twitch from the ring finger.

Voted YANBU on balance.
I feel like I'm sciencing 😄

Heroicallyl0st · 10/07/2022 18:20

😂

maddening · 10/07/2022 18:21

I can make my finger go down alone, but it took effort.

AwkwardSquad · 10/07/2022 18:27

Just tried again, and on the left hand I can move my pinky alone if I really really concentrate. Right hand nah. DP has also just tried and can move pinky solo on both hands. Show off.

nothingcomestonothing · 10/07/2022 18:27

Dont they share a tendon or something? And the other fingers have got one each? I'm not sciency but I'm sure it's something like that.

KarrotKake · 10/07/2022 18:27

I too can do my left (non dominant) pinky, but not my right.

BlueMumDays · 10/07/2022 18:30

Do you mean pinky just bent in half on itself, or all the way down so it's touching your palm?

Oh I agree YANBU
My pinky needs emotional support my ring finger doesn't. Weirdly my r ring finger goes down easier on its own than my left ring finger which I have to concentrate to do

Mandatorymongoose · 10/07/2022 18:33

Right handed.

Left pinky cares not for company.

Right pinky can be persuaded to go alone but isn't please about it and really wants to bring a friend.

HairyScaryMonster · 10/07/2022 18:35

Mine are so hardwired together my middle finger almost goes too

LaMadrilena · 10/07/2022 18:39

My ring finger goes down with my little finger. It's utterly incapable of taking its own decisions. My husband finds this hilarious.

Ginajo · 10/07/2022 18:40

Left handed. Never tried this before but can move all the fingers on my left hand independently. On my right hand, so the non dominant hand, I can't bend my pinky right back without moving my ring finger.

Triotriotrio · 10/07/2022 18:42

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 10/07/2022 18:12

Mine is the same

GetThatHelmetOn · 10/07/2022 18:43

Oh my, to think I have lived thinking I was a bit strange! I have found my tribe (left hand ok, right hand ring finger comes down)
