To want a washing machine that doesn't take 3+ hours?

Looking for a new washing machine. 7-9kg and not to break the bank. Most seem to take 3-3.5 hours is this normal now? Our current one takes 2.5. Any recommendations?

i hate my bosh, it decides what temperature each cycle will be, so no giving sheets a short hard hot wash.
it does have a 15 min cycle but it wont go above 40.d. and the beeping omg the beeping yes i bloody know you have finished - just shut up will you

You can probably turn the beeping off?

I have a Bosch and use the mixed load 40. The longer cycles do use less energy and clean better though so if things are properly dirty the longer cycles are good.

My indesit has a 30min cycle, I don't use it often though I generally use the eco setting which is slow.

I can only be arsed with the eco setting if it's scheduled to start at night.
