So sorry TMI, but can this really have happened?

I used a type of tampon today that I've never used before and i can't get it out, or even find it.

I'm worried I forgot to pull the strings before I inserted it. Or is possible that I've pushed it out when doing the loo earlier? Normally they move when too saturated and I can feel it, but not now.

What the hell do I do??

Mine come out sometimes when I'm straining yes. Have you had a bowel movement?

The advice is usually to squat and then see if you can feel it inside you, have you tried that?

I have had a bowel movement and actually now I think about it I did hear a plop that I wasn't expecting.

I can't feel it at all, or at lest I don't think I can

Good grief, I'm almost 40.

If you can get a finger up and feel you cervix you’re pretty clear.

If worried I would go and see a nurse - you can get nasty infections (friend forgot when her father passed suddenly)

If you squat right down you should be able to feel all the way up to your cervix with a finger quite easily.

I am a complete idiot. It feels bloody weird up there, but nothing I that feels like a tampon.

I guess it fell out my massive foof when I went for a poo earlier.

Definitely time to buy period pants. My brain goes to mince during my period and that will be one less thing to screw up!

Do you have a mirror, and a torch/bright phone light? squat over it and well, look and rummage?

Please don’t be embarrassed OP. These things happen. I once did the classic ‘forgot to take last one out’, and it reappeared a few days later.
If you’re go and checked with a nurse - they will have seen it thousands of times before.

Can you reach all the way to your cervix to have a feel around?

It must have come out if you can't find it at all, its a dead end up there, there's nowhere else for it to go. It's a fanny you've got, not the fucking euro tunnel.

Have a bath and a ferret around ,makes it easier to feel up there.

I woke up after night duty one night and couldn’t find my tampon. The nurse in the GP surgery checked for me, turned out I had removed it 🙈. Maybe get checked to put your mind at rest.
