Just reading the Twitter reaction and news stories relating to the BJ interview. It has caused quite a stir!

Well done MNHQ and well done to everyone who submitted questions, especially to @cheguevarahamster for the killer first question.👏

It's good to see him being held to account and it might just finish him off. I'm betting that my local Tory MP, who reiterated her support for the PM yesterday, is quaking in her boots!🤣

Good questions but it won’t finish him off. He’s utterly shameless and won’t be going anywhere.

Bobnotpop · 01/06/2022 15:31

What did I miss?

RenegadeMatron · 01/06/2022 15:32

Not sure what I’ve missed. But Boris isn’t going anywhere.

And I highly doubt anyone is quaking in their boots.

Sorry.

HellyR · 01/06/2022 15:33

Not watched it all yet but I was cheering at the first question - iirc it was TimBoothsEyes ?! Can barely bloody stand to watch BJ attempt to answer them....

Caramac555 · 01/06/2022 15:34

Well my husband might be a convert to mumsnet after hearing it on the car radio.

"Blimey, they don't mince their words do they?"

SpiderVersed · 01/06/2022 15:35

Those questions are slaying me. “What was the most recent lie you told?”

And that long panicky silence as Johnson failed to come up with a book he reads his children at bedtime 😂

Basilbrushgotfat · 01/06/2022 15:41

Here's just one twitter thread

He's got more neck than a giraffe.
Sadly he'll brush this off and continue his malarkey.

Something's got to break him eventually. And I reckon a lot of Tory MPs are wavering right now. It they conclude that MN is representative of their constituents, then who knows what could happen?!

I'm an eternal optimist!Grin

Just watched it on YouTube...😂

MindPrison · 01/06/2022 15:56

It'd be marvellous if it was mnetters who finally made him reflect, repent and resign.
imagine the speech "it is with great regret and guidance from Mumsnet vipers that I realise my position is untenable"
If it happens we should definitely get it in the tagline.

Arnaquer · 01/06/2022 15:58

Well done Justine , he was really squirming for once. And well done to those whose questions got asked.
It was excruciating watching him try to think of a Childrens book. Mine are adults now but I could still reel off a number of their favourites

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 01/06/2022 15:58

Just watching it…Tumble Tots and Little Kickers are not childcare, you don’t leave your children.

I couldn't work out what he was rambling about there

Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas · 01/06/2022 16:06

I think he is suggesting they would be included in tax free childcare or maybe not?

That would be an amazing resignation speech Grin

TrifleFunny · 01/06/2022 16:17

The body language was fascinating from both parties.

Crunchymum · 01/06/2022 16:19

The usernames seem to detract from the seriousness of the questions asked (in my humble useless opinion)

I bet AnyFucker didn't get a questions asked 😂 (using her as an example as she is a username I can think of with a swear word in it, not digging her out)

uncomfortablydumb53 · 01/06/2022 16:22

Just watched it
Great questions clearly put to him
More waffle as replies
He has no conscience

Mumwantingtogetitright · 01/06/2022 16:26

He obviously thought it was going to be an easy ride.

So I'm guessing that means that Carrie isn't a MNer!Grin

I think Justine was pretty mean, asking all those unmumsy questions without offering Alexander Piffle so much as a fridge to hide in

guinnessguzzler · 01/06/2022 16:27

It was brilliant and well done to Justine and all question setters. I think it clearly demonstrated that the man's a lying bag of lies.

Yes it was me. I can't believe that question was asked. Does anyone have a link to the answer?

Sorry, I was mistaken in my OP regarding whose question it was. Well done @TimBoothseyes. You might have just helped to topple a prime minister! Grin

Yes twitter has gone bananas with it.

I feel quite proud to be a MNer. I feel like everyone thinks we are a bunch of airhead mummies who only discuss car seats and best Victoria sponge recipes but seeing this kind of stuff, that the rest of the media is shy to ask; and knowing it’s such a safe space for women - that’s really excellent.

Makes all the debates over toilet brushes and wedding invitations angst worth it ;)
